Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

I have been with Arvixe for several years and as anyone knows switching hosting companies can be a nightmare. But this past year, there are not words to describe the terrible service. My site is constantly - literally constantly down. And now for the past 48 hours (yes, continual 48 hours) my site has been down and no email access.

Every time I contact them it is the same answer. "Let me check" and nothing gets done. I pay to be on a private server and I know have learned I have not been on a private server. They lie, they are ignorant, and they commit fraud on a daily basis, especially lying about their uptime.

Since I can't get access to any of my logs, etc. I am trapped (with no emails and a site that is down) and can't move to another hosting company until my site becomes live again (if that ever happens).

Is anyone having issues with FTP access to Avrixe Windows servers? Been unable to access my sites via FTP for almost 24 hours. Getting a message that my username or password is incorrect but neither has changed. Try to access my FTP accounts from the cpanel (cp) and the page just refreshes. Submitted a ticket and have not even received the automated email acknowledgement. Tried to reach them via the Online Chat but that does not work either. Their Support # has been removed from their website.

I'm constantly receiving notices that my site is down. Emails will also be delayed or won't go through. This is costing me time, money, and reputation. Arvixe has become completely unreliable.

My domain's nameservers were pointing to a different host on July 16. Unfortunately, the other hosting company couldn't get my domain name to work with their system, so I switched back to Arvixe. It's been a nightmare...

Arvixe hosting used to be okay for at least 4 years. But I have been having SEVERE problems with them for the past 3 or 4 months. Service is down very frequently, no responses to support tickets, then after a few days of silence when the service is up and running again you receive a reply "sorry.. we were upgrading the service for best performance". Then the whole thing happens again the next morning!!
I do NOT recommend Arvixe for any serious business. Will take the first flight out.

Thanks to Love Pakistan's suggestion I was able to backdoor in to CP and was able to download all content, including databases, of all our clients and are now in the process of setting them up on new hosting. has been wonderful to work with during this ordeal.

whaterver is happening it's a real very costly shame.
Tried all options, this host support is simply not working anymore.
They have gone bust, bankrupted I guess.
The only thing still working is the abscons emails from thier so-called manager, ah yes, they are good in deleting pending support tickets!!!
Just suckers and ... I try to stay polite ;)
Escape from Arvixe is the only option, unfortunately.

Ok i switched. Screw arvixe. I changed to today. They know all about arvixe's problems. I paid for new service at tmd at 117pm. I got a xobfirmation email two hours later my main site has been transferred. The cost is similar and the service initially has been amazing. They told me that their policy is to respond to every service inquiry within 15 minutes. Can you say that about arvixe?

Their PLUMERIA server is definitely DOWN right now as of 10/6/15 at 8:55am PT. Also, their 888 support number is "BUSY". What is happening? This is a MAJOR problem for me. Please login to your reseller if you are then click on list of accounts, then cpanel for selected customer access webmail and give its link to your customer. Hopefully they will be able to see their email for example if you are on dallas you can use Please let me know if it works for you

First level tech (once I reached one) confirmed server down; couldn't explain why; couldn't do anything about it; "escalated" the issue without giving me any idea of when they might even look at it, much less resolve the issue. Then to this message (a copy of message to upper level tech?):


As per our conversation, the customer's VPS is inaccessible and showing the following error:

Error loading virtual machine information
Possible reasons of this error are:
1. Virtual machine associated with the VPS meta-item was deleted from virtualization server.
2. Hyper-V management service is stopped.
3. No connectivity with WebsitePanel Server installed on virtualization server.

1. Make sure associated virtual machine exists on Hyper-V server; otherwise re-create VPS from WebsitePanel.
2. Check that Hyper-V management service is started.
3. Check WebsitePanel Server connectivity.
