Each time you access a file through your web browser, the browser stores it. By doing this, the browser doesn't have to newly retrieve files (including any images) from the remote web site each time you click Back or Forward.
Step-by-Step Instructions
The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing. You should periodically clear the cache to allow your browser to function more efficiently.
- At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options on the menu bar, click on the Firefox menu and select Preferences...
- Select the Advanced panel.
- Click on the Network tab.
- In the Offline Storage section, click Clear Now.
When troubleshooting issues with any website, after clearing your browser's cache and cookies, exit your browser completely before attempting to access the site again.
