We have tried pinging TVRage website using our server and the website returned the above results. If tvrage.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access TVRage - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

When I hear that it's not coming back from someone in the know. THEN I'll believe it's not coming back. Supposedly there will be news tomorrow.

Katherine Rivier · 15 September 2015 - 17:05

At this point it should be obvious tvrage isn't coming back.
For those who are looking for another site, there is tvmaze.com

Omar Sabula · 15 September 2015 - 14:36

The fact that TVRage has been MIA for over a week without so much as a “We’re working on it stay tuned...“ comment. The fact that there has been NO official announcement that it is coming back. Other than people throwing around names of the CEO, Site Owner, Site Manager saying “He said this or She said that” nonsense there has been NO OFFICIAL STATEMENT. So, MR. CROW I think you are going to be eating CROW very soon.

Steve Crow · 15 September 2015 - 13:31
· · Firefox 40.0 on Windows

In other words, I'm presenting a fact. Folks can make of it what they will. That's what I thought this site was for.

Which facts are you presenting to show that TVRage is never coming back?

I'm passing aong what he said. What I accept or don't accept isn't part of my posts.

Steve Crow · 15 September 2015 - 02:01

All of you who think that TVRage is coming back are living in a fantasy world. It’s not coming back, not today, not tomorrow, not EVER! So, just move on and find another site that has TV listings and stuff. There’s tons of them. Pick one.

No replies from tvrage on twitter, facebook or at least a "we'll be back soon, don't worry" on their homepage.

It seems to be down for good, even though the site manager replied to me on Twitter a couple of days ago (basically, saying the server will be back). He's no longer replying to people tweeting at him.

If you're looking for an alternative to manage your shows - check out http://next-episode.net and our (free) mobile app - Next Episode!

Dustyn Gibson · 10 September 2015 - 01:36
· · Chrome 44.0 on Linux

I'm miigotu, lead developer of SickRage.

I was contacted by a sysadmin about a month ago, who told me that the owner was paranoid about "people in the network".

He said the owner had already sent orders for the datacenter to be shut down several times the he (the sysadmin) had cancelled.

He also said that he would be leaving that job in about a month, and that I should be prepared for the site to go down for good.

Normally I would ignore this claim, as I had no way of verifying that this person was indeed a sysadmin. However I did prepare some code just in case.

So when the site went down right about when the guy said it would I knew it could not have been a hoax.

We simply stripped out TVRage support, and converted our users' shows from TVRage to TVDB ids. This makes our job easier anyways, because it is easier to maintain now, and the info was often incorrect and breaking things for our users anyway.

"according to site manager :)"

Who is the site manager?

Steve Crow · 9 September 2015 - 19:06
· · Firefox 40.0 on Windows

"wrong episode titles, wrong air dates wrong information in general. I thought maybe they should just shut down and be done with it if they don't want to provide accurate information. "

Isn't TVRage a volunteer contributor site? If so, I'd imagine that their contributors are the ones submitting the wrong info noted.

I had a feeling this was going to happen. The last couple of months TVRage was doing some shitty work... wrong episode titles, wrong air dates wrong information in general. I thought maybe they should just shut down and be done with it if they don't want to provide accurate information. Oh well!
