We have tried pinging SugarSync website using our server and the website returned the above results. If is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access SugarSync - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Having Problems with Accessing

About a week ago, I suddenly couldn't access my sugarsync account, from any device. Trying to login on the website, I get the same error : user unknown ! January 18th I received my last daily activity report and since then nothing, without any notice, it seems that me and my 30 GB of data don't exist anymore !!! And I can't find a way to report this issue to Sugarsync support : I've been on the website, I didn't find any way to contact them... other than connecting to my account first ! Wich is the problem itself !!!!! There is no email, no tel. nb to reach the support team... so how can you report a problem if connecting to your account is the problem itself !!!! This is crazy !

Update from SS customer support:

We are still gathering information on the issue now and working to resolve it. Currently there is no ETA to restore service, but we thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the issue. We will notify you once service has been restored.

My 2 computers out too. Happens all the time lately. SS lies about their outages. I have used SS for years but am now getting disgusted.
Somehow, whenver SS goes out, my computers all also have lots of prolbems. That pisses me most. Somehow they have screwed up my ability to do anything. I reboot and it works better.
Expect SS back online in afew hours, I hope.

Same here. SS out on all three of my PCs. Just glad it's not me alone. This is the first time I have experienced this in 6 years. And worst of all, it says they are not reporting a problem on their site. That is a joke, of course. In USA, Verizon and Xfinity are my service providers (use both on different PCs) and using Opera browser, but that's not really the issue.

Sugarsync is disconnected on all of our computers. I've contacted support as well. Hopefully they will look into it since it seems that many people are having issues.

I've been trying to sync work I had done on the weekend on my office computer but as soon as sugarsync starts to sync, it stops after a few second without finishing the process.

Cannot connect to Sugarsync on any of the 4 browsers on my Macbook. Also neither iPad nor iPhone apps can connect. Even spoofing IE 10 for Windows does not work.

Update: Found the problem. The site is blocked by the sonic wall in this court building. (Works fine on iPhone using LTE).
