Can't Access Godaddy - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Yes. I can confirm that there are definitely email problems. Previously for the past couple of weeks 40% of all automated emails using (wp_mail() or PHP mail() ) were not being sent or received by my customers. Yesterday there was a 1 to 2 hour lag for automated emails, but direct emails only seemed to have a 20-30 minute lag time. Today/Currently automated emails are not being sent or received for a minimum of 2+ hours. ie 2 customers purchased my product and did not receive payment confirmation or account setup information at all. At this point I am not sure if they even received the direct emails I have sent to them. It may be that the Host Mail server is not sending or recieving any emails at this time.

Actually the 40% of automated emails not being sent or received could just be that the customers contacted us after 30 minutes of not receiving an email and the emails did eventually get received after 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. We did not followup with those customers so it is very likely that the emails were eventually sent.

Over these last several weeks I have had intermittent problems logging into my GoDaddy Account, despite trying different browsers. ISP = Telstra Australia

1) Used iPad - both GoDaddy App AND web browser worked.
2) Used PURE VPN - my computer browser was then able to access Go Daddy account.

Notes: Go Daddy is the only secure login I have had trouble with, however some ordinary websites have failed to load at first, then automatically loaded a short while after without my intervention. It seems that the connection is failing in some way that the Go Daddy secure logon dislikes. It may not of course be the fault of GoDaddy.

I have two separate accounts with Godaddy. This email just happens to be on their bad server. Anytime I have an issue, I sign into my other account with no problems. I brought this to their attention well over a year ago because I was tired of hearing it is me. This problem has been going on for a long time. My email has been down since around 12:30 4/15/14 and I have been told there is no estimated repair time yet. This is the worst email trouble response I've ever encountered. This is indefensible. So many of us rely on our email for not only personal communication but our professional lives as well. They don't even post on their web site that there's a problem. It's only when you finally call them that you get a terse recorded message saying that their email isn't working. No suggestion as to when it will be fixed. Edit: Is anyone having the same problem --- emails don't open and can't send or receive new ones since tuesday night/apr 15 10:30pm (ish) it might be time to give up on them and seek a new solution... They have been so unreliable lately and i can't stand their ads either

I was just told it is a server named Pod 6 that is the problem. This server is one of their main email servers and it has been down since Monday night 4/14. Go Daddy is down again. I haven't been able to log in to my sites for a few minutes now. I have been happy with GoDaddy overall, but this is starting to get old. I have something very important on Monday and I NEED to get things ready for it!

hmm, godaddy down right now? I've tried repeatedly to login, sometimes the site itself doesn't pull up, other times it spins forever trying to log me in, and yet other times it gives me an error saying that I typed the wrong password (which I know isn't true) - tried clearing cache and temp files then rebooting, twice, made no difference

godaddy appears to be having intermittent disruptions to service from about 8am still continuing. Is anyone else experiencing connection to Microsoft Exchange has been lost issues? Thanks, David

Can't configure mobile clients. Can't receive email from outside GoDaddy servers. Mail sends fine from GoDaddy account to GoDaddy account. Get it fixed!

Just lost a client - Godaddy took the money for the domain name (so now I can't buy from a decent registrar), but won't let me use it, they need to confirm my email address (only been with them for about 6 years!!) click on the link they sent, they say "OK, now you can use your domains", but I can't. But I can get help in 23 hours. Had it been 22 hours less, I would have been able to keep the client. Anyone recommend a good registrar?

Godaddy is creating these email problems on purpose to convince their users to switch to the new more expensive Officer 365 mail.

If you use an email client like Outlook or Mac Mail or any other one, your email will work fine. It is just the webmail that is having trouble.

Email not sending and the inbox is taking a long time to load. Was told by Godaddy that the system for these emails was old and that they where not spending much time on it. Tried to upsell me to office 365. What a joke of a business plan.

using them for the very first time, threw up holding page - will load - wont load, rang them 3 times today, nothing resolved, think i'll be looking elsewhere very soon. Then it got worse when I was bad mouthing them to a buddy and he mentioned the Bob Twat Parsons shooting the elephant.

GoDaddy is a nightmare at present. Have nearly always used them to register my domains but I am going to be changing soon as you can never login to their site to change anything. Just tried to log in to change DNS on a domain and when you press the sign in button NOTHING. Once again their servers are all to hell. Im sorry but at present GoDaddy are shit, no wonder hundreds of other people i know are moving to other companies

My hosting is down for all of my sites and has been for nearly 2hrs!, thanks Godaddy! You really add to my credibility online. What really annoys me is how in your support section you have a box saying that there are no major issues or words to that effect. I would say all of my websites and email addresses being down is a major issue!

our business email has be slow and even down for hours at a time the last week or better. when we converted from yahoo business to go daddy business was told the email was far superior and faster and does not experience much down or slow time. I have called several times now and they say everything looks fine the network is busy, if I want it to be faster I need to buy office 365. Really I just spend an arm and a leg on business package and transferring all or business domains and so forth over and this is the kind of service I get.

I wasn't able to access my godaddy email yesterday or today. A couple of times I managed to get to my inbox but then was unable to download a message or reply to one. I sent them an email and got a reply that it was "resolved."

Change your godaddy nameservers. I have multiple domains with them, and I changed the nameservers and this seems to fix the issue. Their NS01 and NS02 servers are not working correctly.

Lots of luck trying to talk to those people! I'm getting bounced notices and when I complain they say send them the email. Someone just called and told me it was returned undeliverable. I can't send emails and I'm not receiving either. Enough!! I'm giving a try now, so far, so good. It's just such a hassle moving things. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! DANGER!!!

We have been having trouble this morning since about 9:00am PST. Most emails won't open, and if you get lucky enough to get one open, don't hold your breath waiting for your response to send.
