Can't Access Godaddy - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

I have two separate accounts with Godaddy. This email just happens to be on their bad server. Anytime I have an issue, I sign into my other account with no problems. I brought this to their attention well over a year ago because I was tired of hearing it is me. This problem has been going on for a long time. Usually it is on and off, but today it is the majority of the day. It is annoying and distressing to not be able to attend to work emails.

Godaddy email is not working. I type my exact password login and it still does not work. Coworkers are experiencing the same thing. Hellllp!

we have had problems for the last three days. i am now on hold for the chat with the dedicated server people. my systems people said that what they find is that the server is slow. we too attempted to launch a wordpress site so thank you for the heads up on that. godaddy says that they have no issues at this time and looked at this site and still say they don't see any issues reported.

United States · AT&T U-verse · Internet Explorer 10.0 on Windows shows you've been having some problems over the last several days and comments back this up. I've not been able to update my installed Wordpress application as it just hangs. Attempts to uninstall to reinstall have the same results. My job is to get this thing updated and built 'yesterday'. I've installed and updated many apps in the past and never had this problem. What's going on? My superiors are demanding an answer as to why there is a delay. I don't know what to tell them other than google search to build a case against GoDaddy. So far that hasnt' been difficult as more and more people chime in with the same problems over the last several days.

GoDaddy down for all 3 of my websites. They come up for a minute or so but then go down and when I try to access again they time out. GoDaddy didn't show any downtime but when I called there is a message stating they are aware of hosting issues-no ETR or other info. Hoping they are truly working/aware.

This is THE most frustrating thing I encounter in my work - GODADDY problems!!! I've about had it. BIG changes need to happen - I've decided to become as vocal as possible everywhere I post about how sucky it is... that seems to be the ONLY thing that works with a company who has SUCH HIDEOUS customer service.

My email has been down since around 12:30 4/15/14 and I have been told there is no estimated repair time yet. This is the worst email trouble response I've ever encountered. This is indefensible. So many of us rely on our email for not only personal communication but our professional lives as well. They don't even post on their web site that there's a problem. It's only when you finally call them that you get a terse recorded message saying that their email isn't working. No suggestion as to when it will be fixed. How can i manage the stress this is causing... Can i hold them liable for the rise in my blood pressure and the impending breakdown..!!!

Edit: Is anyone having the same problem --- emails don't open and can't send or receive new ones since tuesday night/apr 15 10:30pm (ish) it might be time to give up on them and seek a new solution... They have been so unreliable lately and i can't stand their ads either

The two-step validation process is not working, . After waiting for GoDaddy to resolve their hosting issue, and finally getting through, and being asked if my phone is working (well, duh), after more holding, I am told that users with Verizon are having two-step authorization problems and not receiving the text messages. They really are quite incompetent,

Cannot connect my FTP program Fetch to my host. No settings have been altered in Fetch, and it was working earlier today which tells me its on Godaddy's side.

Godaddy websites offline on 22/03/2014... & 4 others. Terrible service... guess we'll have to look into another hosting service.

5:15 PM all my hosted sites down. Back up half an hour later but really sluggish, it seems not uncommon the occurrence of this "earthquakes".
