We have tried pinging ZoneEdit website using our server and the website returned the above results. If is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access ZoneEdit - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Namecheap and my domain seller both came through and my email is working happily.

Zoneedit has been down since last Thursday. Time to find a new service as they appear to be uncontactable and don't really care. Shame as they have been a great service for many years.

@ Blaine Sato - Good call on CloudFlare all set up and working again within 1 hr. Thanks for the heads up. Hasta La Vista Zoneedit

@Brad - thanks for the reco, I'm now set up with Namecheap and email is flowing! Meanwhile I see that Zoneedit's name servers are still down, not that I care any more. Unfortunately I've lost 2 days of email, but nothing I can do about that.

United States · Syntegra (USA) · Firefox 29.0 on Windows and still down for me... Submitted a ticket yesterday, no response... called several times today and just got voicemail for their support team. Would be nice if they posted an ETA on this. I know relying on just 2 name servers is only a 99.5 uptime, but we're way below that right now.

@Jimmy -- I wasn't getting any emails and rather than have it sit too long and have those email servers choose to never send the messages, I moved my domain that was affected off of zoneedit (and it had been there for years without issues). Namecheap has a freedns service and it works with google apps and within minutes of adding it and telling my registrar (godaddy) of the changes it is working and emails are starting to flow in.... @Gregg...I also added 2 additional nameservers to 3 accounts, still cannot receive email. Had to buy credits to do it, what a waste of money. No response from Zoneedit support (what a surprise). Time to find another provider - any recommendations? I'm looking at enom, since I use gmail apps for my domains.

Yep... ns2 and ns3 STILL down... I added a name server to several accounts to get past this... hate to spend more money and have services still not working.

Confirmed and is showing down on customer portal. Servers timing out since yesterday. First time in years I've had issues with them. I hope they come back online.

Lost all access to two domains on Zone Edit nameservers plenty of credit. and are un-contactable. Moved the services away as changing Name Servers is almost instant whereas waiting for Zone Edit could be eternity. I like to be able to talk to my service providers and not use ones that hide behind email.

Received from zoneedit April 21 and still down, at least for me: We have recently identified a problem with our Dynamic DNS system. Unfortunately, we have no ETA for when this will be brought back online, but the latest is that it might be back within a few days. For now, you will need to make updates to your zone using our control panel. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

I'm encountering similar problems to Jeff Panasuik. ZoneEdit seems to be going out of business or something, but I mention an alternative below.

As of early March 2013 it seems the "Sign Up" button on their website is gone, as if they aren't accepting new customers. They have not responded to my support inquiring about this.

On March 28th, 2013 I purchased 36 more credits for a domain I am already managing there. I immediately received an email confirmation that my order WILL BE processed, but didn't receive an actual confirmation. I checked my Spam too, because ZoneEdit emails frequently end up there. It has been 6 days and my credits haven't appeared on my account and my credit card has NOT been charged (phew).

I have since moved to an alternative service that I found is WAY better: CloudFlare.

I have no affiliation with them; I just found that they offer DNS services similar to ZoneEdit for free. A, CNAME, MX records, etc. You don't need to use their CDN redirect service, you can specify your own servers.

I'm not sure if CloudFlare offers anything like MailForward or WebForward, but check them out. Their service was easier to use than ZoneEdit and my DNS changes were somehow effective within minutes, not hours like ZoneEdit.

I hope this helps someone. And Boo ZoneEdit. I find this situation absolutely ridiculous, especially that they provide absolutely NO response to support requests.

Jeff Panasuik · 21 March 2013 - 10:48
Canada · Start Communications

Hello - I paid for the service and there hasn't been a single reply to confirm my payment and crediting my zone so I can use FINALLY USE MY DOMAIN, but as of today - no luck...after 4 days. 6 requests were submitted via support page, and several emails were sent to, and even I contacted PayPal to inquiry to why my payment weren't credited on my account and PayPal confirmed that my payment were processed. They also said that it's's end that I am having issue.

So.... please?
