Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Smack in the middle of a UK Bank Holiday and 500 photographs taken the servers go down yet again. I've lost around £200 -£300's and that's all I get from Peter from Customer Support is the offer of another two months membership! WTF!

They're working on a power problem affecting their servers. I have had nothing but great service. I'll stick with these guys. Just give them time. "IT" happens to all of us. Broken care, tear in your underwear, missing lens cap, dropping your favorite camera body. You just carry on. While we're waiting for this to resolve, edit another client's images, get something to eat, watch the last episode of Daredevil season 2. There will always be something to do. Email your client(s) and let them know of your current situation. All will be good!

These types of issues with a web site are never planned and stuff happens. They will inform anyone that emails in when the site is back up and running smoothly or keep an eye on that status page. They always get any major issues fixed. I know the engineers are looking into the issue.

This is now beyond a joke. My website has effectively been down for the best part of a week. Zenfolio are portraying my business, in a very poor light. Potential clients don't know why they can't view my work or use my booking form, they simply give the work to a competitor and that business is lost forever.

At $1,000 per job, perhaps Zenfolio can begin to understand why so many will be jumping ship if they can't provide the service we've all paid for.

I've had it. So embarassed to tell potential and existing clients that my website has been down for this long. Just finished another client meeting where I could only apologize. I have clients in South Africa unable to place print orders. The fact that we've received NO EXPLANATION from Zenfolio is unacceptable. They have our email addresses. Couldn't agree more! I sent out school portrait galleries last night. I now have a few hundred families who can't view their images and I look like an ametuer. And I haven't been able to do any work today uploading the dozen private galleries I need to get to my clients.
Do you have suggestions on other sites that offer comparable services? I've been wanting to change for some time...once all the major issues started and can't figure out where to go.

I have noticed that as well, my wedding ones have been taking over 9 hours - and that is for about 1500 images. My internet isn't as fast as I would like so I've been blaming it on that, glad to know I'm not alone...unhappy it's happening to more people.

Zenfolio has been down for me since 19.05 today (9th July) This is happening more and more. I've tried both Safari and Chrome with no luck, all I get is "connecting...connecting" :( I've cleared cache and browsing history and still no luck.
