the website won't even let me click the log in button. when I went up into the URL Bar and added /login to the end of the URL, it took me to the Log In page, but it doesn't register any mouse clicks on the log in button. But everything else on their website works. It's almost as if their buttons aren't connected to any URLs

Hi my name is Justin Thornton I haven't been able to access my Walmart prepaid money card for the past 8 days my insurance on my truck cancelled because I wasn't able to use my card to pay it. I can't go to Walmart and get the money off I can't go to an ATM and get the money off neither can I go in a store and use my card to purchase anything. I have called Channel 2 News Channel 5 news and also called Girard and Gibbs lawyer and trying to get a Class Act lawsuit anyone else having this problem please get involved. This is ridiculous I have been trying for this long to use my money and can't. All they keep telling me when I call is to call back in 3 hours they are doing a system upgrade. When and if I am able to get my money off I will NEVER use this card again.

I have some very important art pieces to get from a local merchant and still cannot use my card to get them. Walmart needs to fix this crap anything online I cannot pay, I cannot pull cash, It still says I dont have any of my money in there when over $250 should have been deposited from my old work and then another $200 from my new work. Not to mention what I put in when I first put money on the card. This is stupid. I want my money I want the money back for buying this stupid card and the $5 fee they charged for a monthly fee. I have been using a prepaid Walmart money card for 5+ years and this is the first time I have been seriously inconvenienced. I am a married mother of two and my income is the only income we have for my family, I recently got paid last Friday and the card worked from that Friday to that Sunday (05/13/16- 05/15/16) after that nothing. I did not worry about it must since the remaining balance was less that $40, I did call on Wednesday (05/18/16) 3 day after the issue started and had a negative balance of -$244.36. I was told that there was a system wide issue that was being worked on and that my funds would be restored as soon as it was fixed, I asked for a estimated date or time the issue will be resolved and was told they do not even know in so many words. Now here it is next Friday (05/20/16) I have been paid but cannot access my funds because that negative balance was still there and the funds that were applied went into paying the $244.36. One of the main reasons I got a prepaid card was because there is supposed to be no way for you to overdraft because if the funds are not there then they just gets declined. Now that I do not have access to my funds I will be late on my car note, insurance, medical insurance, and my late fee for my rent to my landlord. This is a serious inconvenience and the fact that there is no insight on when the issue will be resolved makes it even worse. How am i going to buy diapers, pulls, food or milk for my two small children. This makes no sense Walmart is a multi million dollar company and should be able to fix this issue faster than then they have. I think they should be held accountable for this.

I called and was told they are having issues with their system and that there are no transactions for the missing 200.00, I'm switching today. I had just over $157.00 and I ordered stuff on Amazon for my daughters birthday. Some of the stuff was declined because of lack of funds, so I went back to the site so see what was wrong and my ballance had changed. All by itself, and not because of a purchase. I made a $100.00 deposit earlier in the week, and it disappeared. I put $on the card today and had to so I could get things for my otherdaughters gymnastics class. I looked at the ballance and it was just over $17.00. I was somehow negative just over $63. I use this card for all online purchases because I was a victim in the whole Target thing a while back. I'm now going to see if capital one will issue me another card for a separate prepaid account. I'm not going to stick around and wait for this to happen again.

I had my card suspended for " suspicious activity" well that's what the email said. I called the first day and system was down. Second day I waited the first call 46 mins and it disconnected me. Then called back that night waited 2 and a half hours for them to tell me my card was in good standing and they couldn't help me. Today I called and was told that the apologize but they are having technical issues and rest assured I will be able to use my card as soon as it clears up. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused. Said there is nothing we can do right now. Absolutely absurd. I have money I haven't been able to access for 4 days and can't but groceries for my family. And yet put me through to the survey. But as I am sure most of you have seen. There is no email to be able to send to make your voice heard. What a joke. I will never use this card again once I get my money out!

I've tried like 6 of them - the 877-937-4098 only works if you say your card was never delivered and then that department as soon as you start talking about what going on, transfers you without telling you - I waited over an hour yesterday. This is becoming ridiculous. I have intermittent moments when I can access my money. I utilized an ATM in my area yesterday and was able to pull cash out. However, today I attempted to purchase something in the grocery store and was unable to because my card was declined -- twice! I know that this is awful for everyone, I'm 500 miles from home with no debit card. But I just called the federal reserve and they are aware of the issue and can confirm that it was simply and update gone wrong. Putting fear into people who are already stressed out by saying their system got hacked etc isn't helping anybody. Call the federal reserve for help, they have given me more answers in 10 minutes then anyone at green dot has for 4 days.

Here is an update. When I checked this morning, a deposit that was to go through today, came in just fine. Correct amount and everything. Both the app and the website work and show me the correct amount. I was able to use my card at Walmart successfully. The correct amount came off the card as well. For me, it seems to be fixed.

yesterday afternoon i was able to order domino's online and pay for a game on google play. the text service gave the correct balance when i inquired and it sent a text alert when my husband's paycheck was deposited. got on the website and saw the two transactions from yesterday as well as the deposit today. have not tried to use the physical card yet....will update

We can't file a class action. There's a clause in the cardholder agreement that prevents it. You can however file a personal suit. If enough people organize and file privately in the same span of time, the company will bend. a bunch of private suits will be more expensive for them to defend against than a class action.

My balance showed 0.00 yesterday and today -245.00 - looking through my transaction history my initial load of $400.00 back in 2015 was not credited after this big "Walmart Money Card Screw-o-rama" - so... I filed a DISPUTE TRANSACTION form for the $400.00 blaming Walmart/Green Dot and demanded I get credited. We'll see if that helps anything, because the lady on the phone could do nothing but say "wait"... how long do I have to wait? she said "I'm unable to say" thank you for your patience. Patience? um... not for this mess.

I loaded $325 on 5-17 to pay an electric bill and water bill... well immediately I tried paying those bills and found out my account was capable of magic tricks. Yeah it just took my money and left me with no explanation. Usually magic leaves me more happy and excited. Now fast forward to today and my water is off my house smells like shit since since my sink has dishes and my toilet has diarrhea in it. And all Walmart says is be patient system upgrade in effect and we are upgrading our tools....I swear it sounded like stools but whatever. So with my deposit and remaining balance I had $602. My daughter called in a panic, she loaded money today to pay her electric bill, her electric would be shut off if they didn't receive the money tonight. She kept trying the money card website, since it was up and down. As soon as she got in, she sent her money to me. I immediately went it and claimed the money to be sent to my PayPal, I then went to PayPal and sent the money b to her PayPal. She is relieved and will be closing her card tomorrow. The worst part is that Walmart did not tell her that they were having issues when she loaded her card today. Since her electric bill was due tonight, she would have taken time off work and taken her money directly to tha electric Company. It is awful that Walmart has put so many people in bad situations.

my card was rejected minutes after I deposited $174 CASH! Fast forward 3 days later and our direct deposit that is ALWAYS made at 4pm on Wed is not there. Called customer service and was of course answered by someone in a call center in another country and could barely speak English. He was very unsure of anything except for the fact that they had received our deposit but because of "technical difficulties" the deposit had not been applied to our card. I asked how long it would be down since this is the only means my family has to buy grocries gas etc and he said "I would not want to disapoint you by giving you a time and then it not happen" In other words THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE! As soon as we get our deposit we are taking it out and closing our account! We only used it because my husband works in another state and there is no bank that we can transfer money back and forth to one another across state lines. Complete GARBAGE

If you want to check your balance, get the APP. All your money will be back into your card soon! They're fixing it! If you know you have money in your card, USE it! If it declines, try AGAIN! direct deposits WILL go through you just have to wait till all the money goes into the right accounts. A system update they did Sunday night went horribly wrong. All we can do is wait and keep trying. Getting on the phone and trying to talk to a person will not help. All the representatives have been told to say the same thing. "It will get fixed soon".

For the last few days, website has been extremely slow to the point that I have been unable to log in to my account, and today am actually able to log in after a wait of about 2 minutes to get my home page that says: "Due to unusually high call and web traffic, balance information is not currently available. All deposits and credits are being applied to accounts and you can continue to use your debit card as normal. Please try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience."

I find it hard to believe that this is due to call volume and web traffic, as if people have been waiting for a year and finally they are all calling in at once. Are they getting a DDoS attack or something?

Update: just finished reading other posts and apparently something big is going on, some are saying they finally got word that they are supposed to be sending everyone new cards?

I hadn't been able to use my card for three days, had about two hundred dollars on it, Green Dot told me yesterday that I was somehow overdrawn one hundred and eight dollars, on a Prepaid card! I sent word to all of my state news agencies, television and newspapers, told them what was going on, then emailed Green Dot and told them to expect some calls. An hour later my card was activated with my money back in it.

Yo the CSR told me I should just keep trying to use it even tho it may decline and he also said there was no estimated time it would be fixed. You serious homie? Just tried using mine. DOES NOT work. So when they tell you the cards are working, its not true.

i just refreshed this site and it said about the walmart website "it's probably just down for you". so i went to the website and it finally let me log in. said that due to high call volume and web traffic correct balance info was unavailable but that the cards do work. i'm hopeful since the last time i tried to get a balance it said it was -$94.28.

After not being able to get through and it's taking forever I decided to stop my direct deposit and pull the rest of my money out it's been all week they've been having these problems

They only have to keep quiet about lawsuits when they are ongoing, if they won, then it's closed and they can say whatever they want

It wont allow me to check my transactions. It takes multiple tries to get into my acct. Then tell me to try later. I even called toll free number and it tells me it cant give info because of high traffic. Try later. Wtf? If this keeps up, then im going to Bluebird

Was just able to get 90$ out, says that's my balance even though Tues am my balance was 343$ and I haven't used it since! They better fix this sh#$!

I'd like to chime in...
I am a moneycard user. I have also been going through the same nonsense.
May 14th 2016, Walmart won a suit vs visa over the chip card change.. Two days later, our cards don't work. I don't believe they were hacked, and I don't think any funds are missing from people's accounts.. due to some kind of system change, the site, phone #, and cards got affected... and, since there was that lawsuit... Walmart may not be able to comment on it, thus forced to withhold a valid explanation.
Now... those claiming to not have money access... Stop using the card physically.. CALL IN your card #, exp date, and sec code... YOUR CARD ACCOUNT WILL WORK. You may not have any or debit access using the swipe strip though. I cannot use my card...but can make online transactions and pay bills. That is updated...because yesterday and the day before, the account itself didn't work...where as now, it does. The answer is probably new cards, post lawsuit. Keep an eye on your mail and look out for package deliveries, as a new card may come immediately. In the meantime, keep hounding your local news... eventually they'll get some attention to the situation.

Hey everyone they just put my money in my account and my card worked to get it all out.tore up card right then,never again will I go thru this crap,I hope everyone gets their money and stops using this service.I understand electronics have problems but the way they handled it and treated their customers is ridiculous. Back to mailing my bills.good luck

Yeah just got off the phone with a rep , and he says the "technical difficulties "should be done soon, but when i told him that is what they told me 2 days ago. WE cant use our cards or access our accounts because the balance doesnt even appear on their side of the screen . I will be one pissed off mama if when my direct deposit gets there in the early hours and I cant access my money ... I cant change it because it is to short notice to stop it now .

I have not been able to use my card anywhere at all for 3 days now. Was on hold with Walmart 25 min and was told I should be able to use my card. They are liars, as I am still unable to use the card.

I have been able to use my card like usual at stores, etc. But I have not tried using it at an ATM or online. I was able to check my balance by texting and it always appeared correct. The couple times I was able to log in, I could see my balance which was correct but not all transactions were showing. About 5 minutes agao I was able to log in, my balance is what it is supposed to be and what it has neen showing. All my transactions are now there and correct. I do believe they are working on the issue and it is being fixed. I dont know why some can use their card and some cannot but I was never denied my money. I have been making purchases at gas stations, grocery store and walmart just fine.

i really don't believe this was an "updat". you update your system, website, the server. not the cards. the card should not be affected. and why are there all of these negative balances? no, i think that green dot may be having other issues whether due to an update or from outside of their company. it seems odd that they would not simply be issuing information to consumers regarding these issues but instead are remaining silent.....

After being very frustrated that the webiste not working so I can add money to our card for our driver that is out on the road trying to deliver Cattle now with no gas money, I went into the local walmart had to do a money gram just to put money on the card, not sure if it's even posted to the card. Does anyone know if the card will still work for Gas and Food ? When I call the phone it says it will work

After filing fdic report, speaking with attorney, finally got a call from green dot saying that it should be up by they end of the day. Spoke to a Nicole. I expressed my frustration of not being able to use money for 3 days. I asked about our upcoming deposit she said it will be there and we can use it after today. Im so pissed, this is not an update. Something else is going on and they are keeping us in the dark.

this is the official page to file a complaint. A firm is taking all the cases for FREE as they only get paid if we get money back from Walmart/greendot. This is specific for OUR cards. Copy & paste link on your browser >

got customer service; "sorry for the inconvenience; no we don't know when it will be up; no you can't use your debit card; no we can't access your account for you." don't bother calling, you won't get any useful information. i think the best way to keep up to date on what is going on is on sites like this one.

i went to my local bank and they pulled out all my money for me. i could not use the atm and transactions online were declined but my bank could access it. i pulled out every penny, they kept trying it til it was all out. i suggest you do that if you can. good luck i changed my direct deposit as well so this card is inactive for me and closed.

THIS BLOWS!! I have over $5500.00 in my account,a dn can't access it at all. I have been using the card for purchasing gas and food, and it is going through so far, but with as much money as I have in there I want access to see my balance. Guess its time to take all money out over next 2 weeks $300 at a time. ANYONE HEARD WHEN THIS IS TO BE RESOLVED???

Waited on hold to Walmart Money Card for 35 minutes, got through to an operator, she looked up my balance and it was correct. I asked if I could access my funds on the debit card, she said YES... walked over to the ATM... she LIED. Very frustrating.

3 days now and no money. I have contacted federal reserve help and filed a claim this is not an update. Its a f*cking scam. I can't use my card or even get my balance no matter what I try. I tried texting, the wesite, and every phone number possible. Really thinking about a lawyer at this point
