Can't Access Survey Gizmo - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Our survey links are not working for our customers, they are seeing the "Oops! It looks like we weren't able to find that page." error message.

We're live! You can once again access your data and surveys. There are certainly individuals who still don't have access, but if you try logging in, it should work now. Some features, like email, do not work. Some folks are also experiencing private domain issues. This will be a long process getting back to where we were, but we're certainly making progress.

It might be time to look at SurveyMonkey.

Hi folks. My apologies for not posting regular updates on this site. For more up to date information, our twitter feed or our facebook page is being updated more frequently.

We've been working all night on the outage and are currently re-launching the system with some added security features. Once we know we're live again, with total functionality, we'll post an update to twitter, facebook, and here as well.

Trust us when we say, we're taking this downtime very seriously, and understand the negative effects they've had on you, our users, as well as your clients and respondents. We'll do everything possible to make it up to you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Is the site down once again? I, along with many other survey participants, are receiving Error 522s. Please address this, thanks.

SurveyGizmo! What is the latest status? I have been waiting since yesterday. I have people waiting to fill out surveys and I need that data for our annual report to donors which is supposed to go to press tomorrow. If you messed up the site relaunch just say so and please advise when it will be up again. It was 9 hours since your last update when you said it was live and yet it is still down.

SurveyGizmo · 26 March 2014 - 14:58

We're starting to see some surveys come back online, and our website is live again. As functionality trickles back, we'd like to once again apologize for any disruption to you or your respondents' productivity.

I am sure it was a Denial of Service attack, as they say, but I do have to share my experience.

I was on the site when it happened. On one particular page load, the site came up in a really clean, great-looking new design. It was very clearly a new website design. Then, about 20 seconds later, the site went dark and has been dark ever since.

Could very well be a DDOS… and it happened during a time that the webmasters were uploading the new site. How unfortunate.

However, given what I described, it could also be that something went very wrong with their new site re-launch. No one wants to say "our webmasters failed at the re-launch" when a phantom, untrackable DDOS excuse is available.

Could just be my suspicions, but it was curious to see a new site design, then the old, then it went dark.

An e-mail from you would have been nice. You know, some of us run ads and pay for clicks that lead to surveys.

Dear users,

We absolutely understand your frustration. We're currently under a malicious Denial of Service attack; this was not a foreseeable problem. We've focused all of our resources on the issue, and we're doing everything possible to get your surveys up and running as soon as possible.

Robin A Jones · 26 March 2014 - 09:01

We have been experiencing problems periodically logging into surveygizmo website for the past 7 days. Very frustrating!!

Not getting any response from SurveyGizmo when contacting them about the website and gaining access to our surveys and reports. They have not notified us of any problems with the website even though we've been experiencing them for the past week. Poor customer service!!!

We're an enterprise user of Survey Gizmo and it's down - this is a major problem because we're using this as our webform platform as well as guest respondent survey.

Florence Bernard Hedeen · 25 March 2013 - 12:52

I'm not able to log on to the LWV site.

BakerCrawford · 11 October 2012 - 02:39

Looks like the survey servers are up again (at least, the ones I'm on), and you can still log in to your dashboard at
