We have tried pinging Rapid Gator website using our server and the website returned the above results. If rapidgator.net is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access Rapid Gator - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

I am not able to connect to RG for days now, i have tried every browser and no luck, every page is displaying this message "This web-page is not available" but i can get to any other page.

James Egan · 27 April 2014 - 19:16
United States · Time Warner Cable

I use Time Warner and live on the East Coast (U.S. GMT -5). During the day 07:00 -16:00 speeds are approximately 2 MB/s. After 16:00 it slows down to a crawl (56 kbs - 150kbs) and picks up after 01:00. This is consistent and has been this way for too many months. Rapidgator recommended using JDownloader and I do, so for day time downloads I set up a queue for day or overnight downloads. That's not feasible for most, who expect to use this service after work, because, queue or not, it's just a crawl after 16:00. If I didn't work from home, and have the advantage of day time downloads, I'd look elsewhere.

Nick Adrian · 26 April 2014 - 23:14
United States · Time Warner Cable

Rapidgator may be up & reachable but barely. Download speeds are a fraction of what they should be and I have a premium account. I checked it against other hosting sites to verify this. Downloads from them were fine. I hope this is a temporary issue.

Strange. Up until about 3 days ago I was downloading everything in sight, fast, through JDownloader. The last couple of days I had trouble getting onto the site, couldn't connect. Tonight I got onto the site, tried another downloader called Internet Download Manager. After setting up about 8 downloads, the site went down again, but all 8 downloads completed even after the site went down.

Its the nature of these type of service which is why 6 mo is the most I subscribe regardless what offer they have. I just got a new account for uploaded.net yesterday and less than 24 hours I regretted it. After 15 minutes of getting my account, I got blocked due to "multiple IP". I'm using dynamic IP and no virus. After 12 hours, support replied back that I was "using multiple IP". Anyway, I changed password and started using it and got blocked again after another 15 minutes. Reported it and after another 12 hours, support replied that I'm using "multiple IP". They said support cannot unblock and its an automated system. Until now, I still cannot use it. I won't tell anyone what they should do but this is my experience with uploaded.net.

Rapidgator was down for a while earlier this Saturday evening; and while it may be up at the moment, it's barely moving -- averaging download speeds no more than 40-80 KB/sec. -- as has been the case for at least the last several days. Per usual, Rapidgator support is mum about the cause of the slowdown or even whether the problem exists.

Andre Muller · 22 February 2013 - 07:49

Rapidgator use to be a stunning service to download from, but these days it's an endless problem trying to down even a small file, it's 1 damn interruption after the other. Then you can't even try to download the file again because the server won't release the IP address. I wonder how much longer RG will exist, will it follow the same road as so many other services like itself, now it's there, then suddenly it don't exist anymore? This is why I won't buy premium accounts from any these download services. I found another download service which is fabulous, I had no interruptions, you can download 1 file after the other without any waiting period.

Hi. I have a Rapidgator premium account, and have been trying to use it this morning without success. Horia Babet · 4 October 2012 - 15:49

I just did check with my ISP and they said that there is no blocking from their side, that's mean that the problem comes direct from RAPIDGATOR; they are doing the same thing like Fileserve did before they shut down the business; They block some IPs from the power users. They want us to pay but not to use it; Shame on them. Too bad that they are promoted from the most filesharing sites. I miss the time when rapidshare were no.1 and everything did run just perfect, until they change their policy.

Jason Coleman · 4 October 2012 - 15:12
United States · Comcast Business Communications

Learn to use tracert people. It's a peer somewhere down the line. It's working for some providers and not others because not everyone has the same network path.

Mark Kieskowski · 4 October 2012 - 14:58
United States · Bright House Networks

I have brighthouse cable in the US and I cannot reach the site at all. If I try though my cellphone (sprint) I can reach the site. This tells me that there is some effort by major ISP's to block this site. Where do the ISP's get off deciding who we can and cannot contact. Their job is to provide service, not play Net Nanny!

Mark Vincent · 4 October 2012 - 14:56
United States · Time Warner Cable

I too have been unable to connect, then I tried using "hidemyass" proxy and it worked. I wonder if all of a sudden all the isp's blocked them.

RapidGator is not working in Montreal (Canada) either, i wasn't able to connect from home network since two days; but i can access it from my cellphone network( virgin). it can be that they blocked the IP from some power users like fileshare did before they shut down their business, or that the local provider don't let me connect what its very unlikely. That is just great because i just renewed my subscription a few days ago.

using comcast in USA. for day RG has been iffy. just used a proxy and got in instantly. Could Comcast be kind of blocking it? being sneaky? Or is RG limiting it's service regionally? I don't know - but would like to.
