We have tried pinging Microsoft Office 365 website using our server and the website returned the above results. If office365.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access Microsoft Office 365 - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Try alternative urls such as office.com, office365.com, outlook.office365.com

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Federation Services (ADFS) stopped this past Friday, after everything worked flawlessly for 2 months. No chnages interally, but a server update did come out and might've changed settings/requirements (IIS in ADFS 3.0). Still researching and trying to fix after all day today. Microsoft helping, but nothing yet.

Problem fixed. Microsoft pulled through! Don't see a way to delete my previous post or I would. Somehow, we had two email services with an MX value of 0. Changed the other one to a higher value (higher is lower in this case) and it solved the problem. Thank you Microsoft. Wasn't even your fault in the first place.

Serious issues with 365 - I have a new laptop, windows 10 and office 265 (5). Everything worked well for 5 months. Then, just three days ago, the punctuation language in word suddenly changed to french on my keyboard giving me Es with accent for example when I clicked the ? Some apps or programs still recognize the standard punctuation on the keyboard but others do not and word definitely punctuated in french. When I checked the language settings, and tried to ensure it would stay in English Canada, I had to actually download an English (canada) package from 365 and suddenly all of the microsoft programs - word, excel etc disappeared from my computer. I have since tried to do repairs - waited ages while it SAID it was repairing and still nothing.
I live in Canada - use Shaw for internet and NEED my office programs for work.
what is going on?? Feeling now as though I should have bought the hard copy grrrrr

Current Status: Mail flow is continuing to improve across the affected environment. Engineers are monitoring service health as recovery progresses. Customers will continue to see service recovery as messages are delivered and queues continue to drain.

Customer Impact: Affected customers may be unable to send and receive messages being sent through Exchange Online Protection. This will affect inbound messages from external senders as well as sending to external recipients. Additionally, customers running in a hybrid scenario with on-premise mailboxes and those in the Office 365 cloud may see mail delays.

This is totally unacceptable. Our email have been down for at least 3 hours and it is a great loss to all businesses. Without phones and emails it makes no sense for employees to come to work. This should not happen in 2014!

My Outlook is down and has been trying to connect to their server since 7am this morning in California. It will also not load the sign in page to Office365 when trying to login on their website.

I am not receiving mail via Outlook, iPhone or Office365.com. I can log into Office365 Admin page, but not Outlook Web Access. Outlook just tells me it is trying to connect. iPhone is continuously showing "checking for mail."

Down here also, we use Barracuda Email Security and have this error: Deferred (421 4.3.2 The maximum number of concurrent server connections has exceeded a limit, closing transmission channel) . Contact at Barracuda said they have others having the same issue and to contact Microsoft on it...

Having issues connecting outlook 2013 clients to exchange 365. More specifically the SMTP.office365.com address won't authenticate anyone. This has been on going since about 10AM eastern time. 6/24/14

We are having trouble sending email to outlook.com. Our email server is reporting that outlook.com has hit its limit for concurrent connections when we are only sending about 10 emails.
