Fix DNS Problems

I have not been able to make a payment from my FlexAccount since ~12noon today. When I eventually got through to a person I was told that many customers were affected but it would be sorted later this afternoon. It has STILL not been sorted!

Nationwide's web site is running as a cover page only. You can look at all the promo's but you can't log in. Getting information is almost impossible. Cards for both accounts just get rejected by ATMs with only 'cannot communicate' ( possibly the new slogan) as the reason. I would urge anyone who has, like me, incurred charges that they do not believe are fair due to the numerous incidents of this type to try to cross reference the dates for interruptions and delayed updating of information over the past 3+ months. The work to 'provide a better service' has been grossly mismanaged and is still keeping the real site closed. I note they have even given up giving a projected finish time now. Well done Nationwide. From just the merest hint of hope to none at all. I am so pleased they didn't volunteer to organise the party at the local brewery. I think this time I'll just let my solicitor recoup my losses. It took ages the last time and they don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge enquiries.

I have been trying to access my nationwide account since Thursday 17th July friday 18th July. I called Nationwide Saturday 19th july and waited 25 mins for them to answer and deal with it. The operator said she could lot do anything until Sunday 20th July. I was so angry and told her this is nonsense. I spoke to a supervisor and they unblocked it. signed in again and no information available . A joke... Now this morning i hear nationwide is updating system. All you customers of nationwide are trying to keep your money in the account for longer so they earn more interest..... also i have learnt Nationwide are giving false info when you see an available balance on line accounts. you go shopping to use the available amount come home look at the account next day as is overdrawn. charges made £15 for paid item and £30 for overdraft. they are doing this on a regular basis.. you have to fight to get your fees taken off.. i am going to change my account back to halifax has enough of not getting access to my nationwide account

Service Status page updated - NW admits to "We are experiencing intermittent technical issues with your Online Banking. We are making every effort to restore your service as quickly as possible. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this will cause you."

Affecting Online and Mobile banking they say... yup we know!.

As to 'intermittent' - well, if your definition is 'it has not worked all day' then I guess it is an 'intermittent' issue.

Managed to move money into another account 7 times over. It is in delayed reaction mode. I kept trying as I couldnt understand why there was a problem and kept trying as the money didnt transfer ... then it played catch up. Luckily I didnt pay a bill 7 times over as it was within my own accounts. Im an ex-computer programmer for a large insurance company and computer problems like this were a rarity ... but more likely now computer systems tend to outsourced abroad.

I have to say, having used Nationwide online banking since it's inception in 1996 or 1997, this is only the 2nd time that it's gone down for me. Unfortunately, I am desperately trying to finish my tax return and need the information NOW!!!
