Can't Access My MSN - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Try alternative urls such as

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

MS is going slow but sure, doubt that they are fixing this page. this happened years ago when we had an MSN group which was darn good for help. which we did at that time. they went off line for about a week then determined that they were going to shut it down and it happened. Don't know who has page like this looked at Chrome, Firefox to me not so good... don't look good so far

I went to Microsoft Help at this link: There was a message that stated: "November 7, 2013. Problems with My.MSN customized homepage. There is currently an issue that some are seeing when going to the page. Some are seeing a default or jumbled page instead of their customized homepage. This issue is being investigated and we are working on a fix.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience." Hope this helps.

I hope they are not doing away with this page... You can at least customize it, make it colorful, seasons etc.If this is what they are doing I will be going someplace else. I enjoy this page!!! I absolutely hate the boring Main page.

I hope MSN is not trying to force another home page on us. I like being able to customize my own page, with color, d├ęcor etc. The main page is so boring, if they do not fix this I will be going to another place for my news needs.

The last week or so issues I read of here is very similar to past times that MSN has decided to change there layouts, / page reads. Those changes take a week or so to get working and get into place. Then they tell you "We've Changed!!". "You MUST change to the new format NOW!", and finally "We're sorry but the new format is a 'go forward' change only -- you can not return to what you had. Thank You!" Enjoy people -- NSA wants easier to read / sort pages!
