Can't Access MSN - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

As of right now (Sept 8, 5pm MT) msn is down. I have an Apple so this rarely occurs. Strange how it happened RIGHT after I gave my opinion of the new msn setup. i was at a clients house today and because I'm lazy/dyslexic I like short URLs for testing. needless to say MSN is pretty short and well it didn't work.
it loaded up in Internet Explorer and said something along the lines of "a need to enter a captcha" and everything was branded in "bing.com" but the URL still said "MSN.com". I tried loading using "HTTPS" but got an certificate error.

so i jumped over to my iPad on the same network. and using a third-party browser came up with the random number string with either native user agent or Internet Explorer user agent.

This was on frontier DSL.
got home, same iPad, i reload and it loaded.
at home I have AT&T cellular.

Msn.com doesn't seem to be working for any of my browsers (IE, Firefox, Google Chrome), and whenever I go to www.msn.com it keeps saying "Ref A: d43e381baa624699bc54ba89c64985d8 Ref B: 69492317F54E8A1AE5091FF298BF9188 Ref C: Fri Jun 20 09:31:22 2014 PST", and one time came up with "Service Unavailable HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable."

It takes along time to open the outlook from the MSN website. The site keeps loading for more than 5 minutes before I reach the login page and after I signed in it took me more than 10 minutes to see my inbox. Everything was working perfectly fine till around 22.00 PST. d I have been facing this problem since early morning today. I am running a business and this is causing me a lot of problem. Please look into this on priority basis and fix this as soon as possible.

MSN is just cycling, I can't actually connect to MSN. It's been my homepage for years, but now I have to use Google to do any searches.

I just renewed my MSN service. I'm having trouble with my email. Today, I can't open some of my messages. Yesterday I couldn't open any of my messages. Other than this, my computer has been operating just fine. Is MSN having problems?

MSN home page will not load, it goes directly to "Sign In". I tried my password and it says its not correct. It has done this to me before but out of the blue it starts working again.

outlook.com seems to be missing most or all emails from 8:45 PM MST on Feb. 26 to about 7:20 AM today (Feb 27). Oddly enough, the emails show up on my cell phone but not on the web or on my computer (Thunderbird). They are not in Junk, Trash or Spam.

MSN goes down whenever I am looking at Ebay sites or doing anything on that site. When I am scrolling products, bidding, looking, it says program is shutting down, this happens all day and night for weeks. I feel like throwing this new Windows 8 computer out the windo or get rid of MSN. It is very frustrating and I am not getting good service from MSN. What is going on?

MSN loads but it's all jumbled up...blue lines and white lines with file folders and usual information but not in the proper format. Can see emails, but none will open. Just get the spinner...

My msn. acct takes forever to load today, and won't allow me to move from one file to another. When I access it through Google, I'm asked to sign in every few minutes. What's going on?
