Can't Access MSN - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Thanks. My comment is on 2 issues. one is about animal abuse. Its great people are starting to protect our innocent pets. I'm songlad that people are getting punished for animal cruelty. Its about time people see this is a serious issue. Second, the gun laws should change. Especially for the elderly, like me, who cannot own a firearm all because of a over 25 yr felony. Everyone makes mistakes, and it should be the type of felony on whether a person can own a firearm, legally, and not because of petty felonies that aren't even violent. My felony was prescription drug related of which happened in my youth. Now, I'm paying the price over this and I'm a widow, 60 yrs old, and can't protect myslf because of Florida laws. Its over now, I've been a good citizen ever since I got in trouble. And to top it all, it wasn't even a violent crime, it was prescription drug related but all thats changed. People like me should not have to keep paying for the mistakes we made, especially after 25 yrs. Maybe if you could address this issue someone of government may catch your article and take it to the right people and fix it. Crime is ever increasing and us elderly can't defend ourself because of these dumb laws. Would you please be so kind as to address this issue so maybe someone in high places will act on it? Also, with the terrorist that are dliding into this country, us elderly can't defend ourselves. We have to pay the rest of our lives for mistakes of our youth. Thankyou for your time and I hope someone will read this and take it to heart.

i was at a clients house today and because I'm lazy/dyslexic I like short URLs for testing. needless to say MSN is pretty short and well it didn't work.
it loaded up in Internet Explorer and said something along the lines of "a need to enter a captcha" and everything was branded in "" but the URL still said "". I tried loading using "HTTPS" but got an certificate error.

so i jumped over to my iPad on the same network. and using a third-party browser came up with the random number string with either native user agent or Internet Explorer user agent.

This was on frontier DSL.
got home, same iPad, i reload and it loaded.
at home I have AT&T cellular.

Getting weird one line Ref A, B, and C codes when trying to access I guess someone on their side is messing around with the html and script pages. Probably just a server side issue. Weird though, I figured would have instant changes and no web page down time. Probably some bad planning on their part.

Okay, so when I open it, the site comes up with either one of the things I mentioned in the first post or it comes up with the front page of the website but won't load any of the headline slides (or whatever you call those 12 slides of news stories) past the first one.

It takes along time to open the outlook from the MSN website. The site keeps loading for more than 5 minutes before I reach the login page and after I signed in it took me more than 10 minutes to see my inbox. Everything was working perfectly fine till around 22.00 PST. d I have been facing this problem since early morning today. I am running a business and this is causing me a lot of problem. Please look into this on priority basis and fix this as soon as possible.

I just renewed my MSN service. I'm having trouble with my email. Today, I can't open some of my messages. Yesterday I couldn't open any of my messages. Other than this, my computer has been operating just fine. Is MSN having problems?

I can't access the subjects I type in the web search box as it does not respond. There is an advert for the new 3 telephones that has started this problem from this morning. What can I do tot rectify the problem?
