We have tried pinging Mail.com website using our server and the website returned the above results. If mail.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access Mail.com - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Comcast seems to be the problem with connecting to Mail.com... I went to several friends of mine who have AT&T and other ISPs and servers and connected quickly and easily to Mail.com!!
HERE IS THE WORKAROUND: Google "Ultrasurf_download.exe" Download and install this FREE, OPEN-SOURCE GNU Licensed Proxy program on your Windows system, then open the program, follow the directions in the read-me file, and BOOM you WILL be able to get to MAIL.COM. Good Luck to ALL! This has been a major pain in the rear!!

Comcast is the problem!

https://ultrasurf.us/ ....is your quick solution to get to your MAIL.COM email until Comcast admits it and does the right thing!!!

Good Luck to all with this issue..... Howie
PS: “Ultrasurf” does NOT install on Apple/Mac computers. But there are other Proxy Server Applications for Mac. Just look around on the net....

Unable to access mail.com website. Error Message says:
The connection has timed out
The server at mail.com is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Trouble shooting says: Mail.com is UP and reachable.
The website is probably down just for you...
I've just read all of the complaints about this site going down over the past 2 yrs. This is the first time for me but I've been having trouble sending mail off and on for the past couple of weeks. I thought this was a safe site and have important documents stored here which I may lose. I'm searching for another email site now. I've never heard of such a thing. Have been trying to access my mail.com email account for 2 hours now with no luck. Have had problems with accessing my email account on various occasions recently; particularly since the user interface changed. I've found mail.com to be slow, often unable to be accessed, packed with ads and generally poor in performance. It's completely unreliable and as a small business owner I'm wasting money waiting to try and access my emails.

I'll be changing email providers as soon as I can access my mail.com email to let my contacts know I'm switching. VERY frustrating - goodbye and good riddance mail.com

@ .Warren Barr,

Go to the Options button on No Script bar, click on, "Unsafe Reload" and it may allow you to get into your emails. It worked for me. Unfortunately ALL of my emails and contacts are gone, all of them: Total storage space 2GB, amount remaing 2GB, amount used 0. I was able to get in a couple of times using this method. I am able to log-in intermittently... with the same results mentioned before. This is the same for all three accounts that I have.

Once mail.com updated their interface I've had problem after problem. 1) It doesn't work in Chrome or Firefox. I tried updating Chrome to the newest version, updated Java, etc. Still wont' work. And I've tried on 3 different computers. If you're having this problem, you will have to access your email through your phone / tablet using IMAP. Or, you will have to use or download the newest version of Internet Explorer. I've had a wealth of other problems, also, but this is by far the most troubling.

mail.com down for 12 hours now at 3.30am GMT. There seems to be a growing problem at mail.com ignored by Support. let all users write to the parent company 1&1 to complain. Never a problem with gmail and ymaiil - just the one I pay for mail.com. Time to dump it I think.

Premium service POP3 refusing to send from Outlook for five days now and no response from "Priority" Customer (supposed-to-be)Service. No problems with gmail and ymail accounts from Outlook. It looks like mail.com is seriously screwed which is sad after many years but perhaps it is time to just abandon it in favour of the many more efficient alternatives ?

Can't access to my mail.com accounts on my PC and my smartphone; every other page works, so is the mail.com domain the one with the problem.

I am one of two people in my house who can't reach mail.com using Comcast or Verizon data. But this website says "it's just down for you...". That's ignorant!
