Can't Access LoveFilm - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Doesn't seem as though there is much point in reporting this as it seems there is a list a mile long of people experiencing the same problem. Every time I try to watch something it tells me "an error has occurred.please try again" it's been 6 days now. If I could work out how to deactivate my account I would.

Trying lovefilm instant from WII, get error, unavailable try later. Try from my PC and films don't load either. Broadband connection OK. Rental paid.

When I click on any film/TV series on Lovefilm, it loads but then the button you press to actually start watching it does not come up at all! So cannot watch anything!

I can access LoveFilm on my computers but I want to use my Bravia tv to watch a film, I have an account and I was able to access LoveFilm yesterday on my tv but today it doesnt display the play tab it just gives me an option to add to my my watch list how do I get to watch the films again on my tv ?

Absolutely terrible service AGAIN. Amazon just toss this crap product and give us the same online streaming package American Prime customers get. 10x the stuff, more up to date movies and cheaper than Lovefilm. SORT IT OUT

I might join netflicks in protest is lovefilm don't grovel to keep me as a customer

Thanks for ruining my evening lovefilm. Pizza arrived 45 mins ago and had to eat it before it got cold. Now if I'm lucky enough to get a film tonight it will be without any comfort munchies. Thanks for ruining my evening. Hope you will be compensating us for this. I'm sure you wouldn't tolerate late payments

System not available error comes up whenever I try to press Watch Now.

Jon Watson · 4 August 2013 - 12:57
United Kingdom · BT

Down down down. Site is loading fine, but when I click on 'Watch Now' it comes up with a Service Error.

Really frustrating, as the series I was watching was gaining momentum!

With this and them cancelling game disc delivery I'm seriously considering going over to Netflix full time. Half the price for pretty much the same stuff. Gonna go over there now and watch another series while I fume!

site is flicking in and out of availability - can't actually get to the point where anything will play. Also seems to have an additional field on the play screen demanding a 4 digit PIN, but which is garbled and in any case disabled. :-(

Ridiculous this now. Don't often watch Lovefilm but like to have it from time to time and £5 a month seems reasonable BUT the two nights this week that we've tried to watch and the site is down. You never got this with DVD's. I will be going back to the traditional DVD from now on.
