Can't Access Last Fm - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Try alternative urls such as,,,,,,,,,

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

To whom is suffering a lot for not scrobbling, there are many player plugins that store your scrobbles when is down or you're not connected to the internet... so when is up and running again, it should send all your pendent scrobbles :-) So it will be like has never been down.

Poor them, they are probably quite stressed right now :-(

Quinton Ross · 18 September 2013 - 01:46

It'll probably be one of their band-aid fixes that will last a day or two then break again. It's like is sitting on really old software because whenever they "fix" something, it doesn't stay fixed long. Old software that's getting obsolete and it's incompatible at times to new up-to-date mobile software.

f#!k myspace for ever buying imeem. it never had issues. who knows wtf is going on with last fm once again. not to mention they need to leave shit alone. didnt myspace teach these people anything??? change things more and more and it's gonna fail. i mean changing it where you have to go to settings now to change your last fm page to black {which should be default. who the hell uses that ugly red?} is a hassle. seems to be one thing after another with this bunch now...

Still down... this is super bad.

Quinton Ross · 17 September 2013 - 21:50
Canada · Access Communications

I'm glad that I don't subscribe anymore it would be a waste of money. They always had some form of technical issue going on all the time. Their forums are nothing but scrobbling issues, missing this missing that, images not showing up properly, music library not working properly, and pages don't load properly when navigating around the site. The site is plagued with problems and they keep growing by the week. The staff take off for the weekend and the poor mods are left to deal with shit when the weekend arrives. For a site under the CBS umbrella, the site is really run poorly.

Brett West · 17 September 2013 - 21:50

Yeah, when it went down earlier and came back, my scrobbles from the downtime still showed up.

James E Kendall · 17 September 2013 - 21:23

been down most of the day think they are having dns issues again.

Edit: ok something majorly odd is going on dose not look like a dns issue but rather the site itself is majorly messed up currently. "Invalid URL

Adrian Estrada · 17 September 2013 - 21:16

Their twitter page says nothing, either. What's strange is that the desktop scrobbler is still able to retrieve information about bands and artists(unless it's using an offline cache).
