Can't Access Aweber - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

is aweber having sending problems?

Roriza Reyes · 1 day 12 hours 20 mins ago

Some parts of the world still can't access Aweber. I can't. It's been down for me since.

Shane Porter · 1 day 18 hours 28 mins ago

Bummer! Cannot access AWeber just when I need it. Forms not displaying on three websites. Grrrr.

Robert Cunan · 1 day 18 hours 55 mins ago

I can't access my Aweber account... is it down again?

Kris Zelkas · 1 day 19 hours 47 mins ago

Grrrr aweber is down!

Andrew Hartley · 2 days 12 hours 39 mins ago

You know, it seems like there is never a problem until I'm trying to do something... but every time I try to do something on one of my accounts there are issues. Aweber, Aweber, wherefore art thou Aweber?

Suzanne Kiraly · 2 March 2014 - 10:40

My clients' sites still have forms that don't work. Would appreciate an update on when they will be fixed please???? They are asking me - and I'd like to give them some idea of when we can expect to be rocking and rolling again. It's been a number of days now! Please - someone from Aweber let us know?

Stuart Miles Grunert · 2 March 2014 - 09:23

it is up now but having trouble saving and sending broadcasts. is anyone else having this problem?

Misha El · 1 March 2014 - 15:03

Yes... Aweber has been down for the past several days and its disturbing. Even worse is to think that is a cyber attack. I'm going to stick by Aweber. Its still a great product!

John Yeoman · 1 March 2014 - 14:51

AWeber has worked well for me for five years. You can bet there are a lot of worried people there right now, being hauled back to sleep under their desks tonight. Don't hassle them. DDOS attacks can hit anyone. I've just lost a whole Saturday promotion. (Loss: $1000+.) But it's hurting AWeber more than it does me.

Edit: If it's any consolation, folks, is down right now as well. Somebody out there just doesn't like autoresponders, it seems.

Denise Wright Stancato · 1 March 2014 - 14:38

This is crazy... I thought there was something wrong with my computer and forms... How long has this been going on? Anyone looking to switch to something else.

Sam Mlm · 1 March 2014 - 10:25

This is taking me to the limit! Down again! I've been loyal for 5 years, but this is too much! I was about to go out for the day, just checking everything was ok in my paid media campaign, and AGAIN!!!
What the hell is happening!

Yesterday the CEO sent a letter for all users, saying everything is under control, and now, they are down for the 3rd time in 72 hours... I am a pissed costumer!

Kimarie Hazelbaker · 1 March 2014 - 10:21

GetResponse is down, too. A lot of IMers are dead in the water! Gosh James, I'd love to know how you're getting 1000 sign ups per hour! My list has less than 50 and I'm REALLY struggling!

Steven Sekhon · 1 March 2014 - 08:05

Still out on the West Coast. What I'm particularly unsatisfied with is that they've had several service disruptions over the last several months, they never call and then, when I call to speak with someone, they ask me a whole bunch of questions before they say, 'yes, we're having a problem with our system - it should be up soon' Why don't they let me know first!? I have to waste my time to call them, answer a lot of questions only to be told the obvious 'our system is down'. How does mailchimp compare with getresponse? I'm about ready to jump ship...

Joe Garis · 28 February 2014 - 17:21

I have an account with both Aweber and Getresponse. Getresponse let's you import subscribers WITHOUT reconfirmation so I suggest setting up an account there so you can mail in the meantime and then keep it as backup. I do think it is interesting though that Getresponse, even while they were attacked and went down, only took about 45 min to get back up and have been fine since. Aweber stays down for days...

HypnotistGregory · 28 February 2014 - 16:29

My Clients come first. Very important that aWeber advises us when this happens. No excuses. If they don't have a way of emailing us they need a good mail service.

Geoff Hughes · 28 February 2014 - 15:54

for everyone thinking of switching to GetResponse - take a deep breath because they've been hit by a DDos attack as well last 2 days.

Richard Bueche · 28 February 2014 - 15:34

We are just about to start usjng AWeber and we probably still will. In businesss since 1998, someone who's mailing list was canceled is probably just getting revenge or maybe this is practice for a much larger DDoS against another target. I sure hope they find who is doing this to them. Could be PayPal or Amazon or even Facebook as the next target.

Scott Biladeau · 28 February 2014 - 14:42

Why are people asking for 6 months free of service?? it has not been down for 6 months. Asking for that is stealing... all i want is a credit too my account for the time its been down that's all. None of us should have too pay for down time. It was down earlier this week.. i asked for a credit for the couple of days.. they said no kind of refund or credit was in the works. Maybe they will reconsider. Theres alot of pissed off customers.

Timothy Dwight Moser · 28 February 2014 - 13:51

This is horrible. I have to contact my subscribers about my launch tomorrow, which is why they all signed up in the first place!

Lewi Glenis · 28 February 2014 - 13:48

It's a good thing I have my guitar sitting next to me. I guess it's time to write that song that's been surfacing for a while now called the "Aweber Blues". I'll let you know how it turns out. Maybe by Monday, I'll write a new one called "Hello Getresponse". Could have a ring to it kinda like "Here Comes The Sun"...

Neri Choma · 28 February 2014 - 13:46

This had been going on for a week now :( everytime I tried to log in, their server is down. WHO CAN RUN AN ON-LINE BUSINESS LIKE THAT?

Chris Collins · 28 February 2014 - 13:42

a DOS attack can happen to any server, including GetReponse. Aweber has performed very well for many years and has impacted a lot of businesses and pockets. there is no loyalty anywhere anymore. I wish the guys at aweber well as they work through this challenge and I thank them for the service they have provided.

Aaron Facciolini · 28 February 2014 - 13:33

This is terrible. I hate to say this... but I think Ill be moving to Get Response... i've been thinking about it for a while but this put the nail in the coffin. =/ this is literally killing my business at the moment

Luis Reis Soares · 28 February 2014 - 13:22

This is a real shame!

Scott White · 28 February 2014 - 13:05

This is costing me money Aweber. I have been using you guys for the past 3 years get with it. You did not even let us know there was an issue and that has me pissed.

Charles Sarver · 28 February 2014 - 12:55

Yes they are down again the second time this week they should give us all the next six months free for loss of income over this.

Mahmood Bashash · 28 February 2014 - 12:52

My eNewsletter should be sent out based on two years tight schedule. My reputation going to be affected very badly.

Simon Anthony · 28 February 2014 - 12:41

Man this is so annoying. All my signup forms are gone from my sites, But much worse than that, I paid for a Solo Ad blast yesterday and it's been sent out !! Absolutely fantastic. Money thrown down the drain. Really really mad at this.

Alex 'Alcyone' Newman · 28 February 2014 - 12:05

Holy crap, are they still under hacker attack? 3 days ago they reported significant outage from a DDoS attack. Must be some major effort. Why would anyone want to take down Aweber??? They aren't exactly some evil megacrop... :/

Bonnie Hershey · 28 February 2014 - 11:46

Arghh…this is really frustrating as I can't move forward with anything today that I had planned.

Jinjee Garrick Talifero · 28 February 2014 - 11:17

I have a Raw Vegan menu plan program starting tomorrow and this was going to be my big day for promoting it! So, yeah, seems only right to at least get to promote it here since I can't send it to my readers!

Sivilay Kounlabout · 28 February 2014 - 11:08

What's the deal! Ok time for change!

Holly Aday · 28 February 2014 - 11:03

I am a virtual assistant - consistent outage on this site is preventing me from doing my work - get with it Aweber!

Dennis Brown · 28 February 2014 - 10:48

This is ridiculous...down again. WTH???

Pedro Sanz · 26 February 2014 - 11:58

Awebe site is up and running but all my Opt-ins are gone. ZERO subscribers today. What is going on???

Trevor Emdon · 26 February 2014 - 11:21

Aweber came back online here in the UK about 10 mins ago. Fingers crossed it stays up!

Jon Westrick · 26 February 2014 - 11:16

still down for me and my forms on my capture page are gone too.

Lilia Lee · 26 February 2014 - 11:00

My sign up form won't load up on my site either. This sucks!

Update: Talked to support... if you replace the Javascript code snippet with the full HTML for your signup boxes, it will display. I did and my boxes appeared.

Brian Altman · 26 February 2014 - 10:45

Can't load the website and the opt-in form on my website isn't loading either.

Cyrus Uible · 26 February 2014 - 08:07

Aweber not responding. Wasn't responding Monday either.

Jon Westrick · 26 February 2014 - 07:55

I am very new to marketing and new to Aweber. Can anyone tell me if this happens often with Aweber? Thank you!

Dina Prioste Robison · 26 February 2014 - 05:55

Flushed DNS cache and it's still down. Need to send out emails today, please keep us updated.

Peggy G Prince · 26 February 2014 - 05:47

Down! - 3 days! Poop

Michael J Ming · 26 February 2014 - 04:20

Just in the last 30 minutes Aweber has returned to Oz. Yeah! Goodonya, Aweber!

Jeff Davies · 26 February 2014 - 03:04

I was having trouble with Aweber last night.

Paula Lawes · 26 February 2014 - 02:42

I am still down 10.41 am in the UK cant even get in

Mekia W Cherone · 26 February 2014 - 02:30

As of now, you are able to go in Aweber and create emails but you are not able to send emails from off the system. It keeps spinning in the broadcast section. Has anyone CALLED? It is 5:30AM here so I am waiting for the company to open instead of assuming.

Sophia Lennox · 26 February 2014 - 01:42

Hi everyone, I have an interview due to play out to my aweber list at 5pm GMT tonight yet now I can't take any new sign ups nor access my list. Any ideas how this works now? Do we have any back up options? (I will have some of my subscribers stored elsewhere but not all). Sophia

Remy Lepage · 25 February 2014 - 21:48

I see that some people profit of the occasion to drop their affiliate links here! Not bad! :)

Benjamin Schiltz · 25 February 2014 - 21:45

lol If I had a dollar from every person who says they are going elsewhere, I would be richer than Oprah. First off, look up the definition of DDoS Attack, "In computing, a denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is an attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of efforts to temporarily or indefinitely interrupt or suspend services of a host connected to the Internet. As clarification, DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks are sent by two or more persons, or bots." -

Granted, there should be some sort of security in place to try and prevent it. So ya it would be nice to see some sort of credit. Secondly, are you really going to leave and have to create new campaigns with a different service? For a lot of internet marketers who have multiple lists and newsletters etc. it is just not possible and a huge inconvenience for you and your poor customres. I gather anyone who says they are going somewhere else are more likely those who are still very tiny on the IM ladder and even struggling. Aweber is he best so leave the boo hoos behind, there's no place for that in IM. Just not enough time to cry.

Ronnie Branch · 25 February 2014 - 21:40

That's to bad aweber is down I was just welcoming my team member to Infinity downline in our 2 way interview :)

Paul Gibbons · 25 February 2014 - 21:06

it has been running poorly for a few days

Fredrick FredJeff Jefferson · 25 February 2014 - 20:56

This is bullshit man!! I took today off to set my system up with aweber and now it's not even working!!!! Im trying to be a Internet Marketer!!! wow

Geoff Hughes · 25 February 2014 - 19:29

I just opened cart on a launch. Now i can't get in to check mail stats or message my list. I'm appalled at Awebers non-existent customer service on this issue.

Davene Grant Januszewski · 25 February 2014 - 19:19

This is the 3rd time for me - I'm switching

Judy Fitzepatrick · 25 February 2014 - 18:55

FYI: They are under a DDOS attack: is their status site

Grant Feasey · 25 February 2014 - 18:39

Looks like a mass shift to getresponse is likely. What's up Aweber?

Jun Friend · 25 February 2014 - 18:38

Hope this is going to be solved very soon.
Message to the aweber administrators/developpers : You're loosing clients and reputation guys ! let's move our butts !

Jorge Juan Pascual Muñoz · 25 February 2014 - 18:12

I have lost more than 200 dollars today. I propose to open a ticket for a refund, or even more to Getresponse:

Bjj Conquest · 25 February 2014 - 17:45

I have an event on Saturday and this is really going to mess me up. Thanks aweber...

Scott Biladeau · 25 February 2014 - 17:35

I'm asking for a credit too my account for a full month.. and i recommend everyone else does also. Why pay for this?

Robert M. Burns · 25 February 2014 - 17:26

Getresponse seems like a good alternative. Have heard good things about them.

Jay Hiatt · 25 February 2014 - 16:53

Agreed, why someone would post marketing in this forum is ridiculous. No wonder they are failing..

Rodger Hyatt · 25 February 2014 - 16:46

wow, using this as a marketing forum, explains why your failing..

Greg Hogan · 25 February 2014 - 16:06

Is there a backup alternative to put in place for the next time?

John Yeoman · 25 February 2014 - 15:07

Don't panic folk. AWeber is down. DDOS attack. Twice. It happens. Some three years ago, Yola - my site platform provider - had a similar attack. They were off-line for a week. Luckily, I had no promotions scheduled then and Yola came back. Nothing to do but chew our nails, and go off to the pub...

Sifu Cindy Cicero · 25 February 2014 - 14:09

The official Aweber Site Status on the DDOS attack

Jon Burgess · 25 February 2014 - 14:06

Aweber: It's called CloudFlare. Look into it.

Silvia Marco Cortón · 25 February 2014 - 14:02

Well, another time AWEBER is down. They have a DDOS Attack. I thing they should renew their servers with the money they charge for their service. That costs money to all of us that are running promotions. This is really not serious!

Tyler Martin · 25 February 2014 - 14:00

This is pathetic.. down for two days? Who is going to reimburse me for my money lost?

Ray Jewell · 25 February 2014 - 13:33

Aweber is down for me also

Jay Hiatt · 25 February 2014 - 13:19

again, ... what is the problem does anyone know? Jay

Jane Herrmann VanOsdol · 25 February 2014 - 13:05

I am not able to connect now either. It was working earlier today.

Jeff Staniforth · 25 February 2014 - 12:51

Yes, I have been trying to get AWeber for authentication, without any luck... now I see the problem.

Fernando Herrera · 25 February 2014 - 11:51

It seems to me that Getreponse and Aweber are the same company. They have too many similarities to be a coincidence. Even going down

Sifu Cindy Cicero · 25 February 2014 - 11:30

Thank you for the latest info on the DOS attack. There is no doubt they are working on this issue before restoring their servers and application back to a clean state. Our company has had 5 years of no down time with Aweber so we wish them well in their troubleshooting of this issue.

Kenneth Reno · 25 February 2014 - 11:08

called aqweber (1-877-AWEBER1) -they said they are under a DOS attack and have no estimate when they will be back online.

Douglas Shrader · 25 February 2014 - 11:05

What is going on with aweber? Why are they down two days in a row.

Jesus Eli Jaramillo · 25 February 2014 - 10:42

Get Response is also having issues. GRR!

Sivilay Kounlabout · 25 February 2014 - 10:23

Thinking about moving to GetResponse?! Guess what they are down too! What gives?

Mary Schiller · 25 February 2014 - 10:07

It was working a few minutes ago but now I can't connect. Getting frustrating.

Sifu Cindy Cicero · 24 February 2014 - 18:15

Our east coast us area for aweber forms on our site is down yet there are other areas in the US that our aweber forms on our site is working... Not sure internationally.

Dave Fin · 24 February 2014 - 16:18

Having same problem. I created account, they took my money and not been able to access since. Only access is through mobile but I need to access on pc.. pffft

Thanks for that Regina, thats very useful.. can keep track and it states the problem, panic over so to speak :)

Lawren Smith · 24 February 2014 - 15:39

It says that Aweber is up but down just for you. I checked it looks as if it is still down.

Baby Steps To Seasoned Strides · 24 February 2014 - 15:21

I was in the middle of creating a new list in Aweber when it froze and I have not been able to log back in at all. used three different browsers but the page can't be found. Why?

Nahid Ashby · 24 February 2014 - 15:09

I was in the middle of creating a new list in Aweber when it froze and I have not been able to log back in at all. used three different browsers but the page can't be found. Why?

Cathy Ann Trowbridge · 24 February 2014 - 14:04

been down for several hours... and yes, Saturday was corrupted too, wouldn't load pages correctly. We all need to go read a book and chill instead of getting upset! Control what you can and let go of what you can't! Glad to see it wasn't just me!

Lynn Brown · 24 February 2014 - 13:40

Yes it is down for me... and there were some strange things over the weekend too. Need to blast a message about tonight's training. Hope it gets fixed fast.

Jim Hans · 24 February 2014 - 13:32

Aweber down for all it seems. and the isn't working either... ughgh.

Chris Jenkins · 24 February 2014 - 12:55 reports the site went down over 2 hours ago

Robert E. Francis · 24 February 2014 - 11:54

I was just getting ready to send an email out to inform people of some training tonight... BLAST. I guess we just have to wait. Hey Joy, I have been using aweber since July and this is the first time I have run into this.

Tom Kulzer · 11 February 2014 - 13:06

Anyone can check the current status of AWeber's service by visiting

Steve Snelling · 22 October 2013 - 15:15

HaHa - was just having a great customer service convo with their awesome team, (I'm a newbie to AW), but now I can't log in. Is that irony? What is that? Oh... SAMSARA!

Rego's Life · 22 October 2013 - 14:18

Anyone else having issues with AWeber? First time I've seen this happen...

Muslim Matrimony · 4 March 2012 - 10:34

Hi all, Please visit this link for all updates on AWEBER:

Jack Stephens · 4 March 2012 - 10:19

Weekly newsletter scheduled today did not broadcast. Site down. No word from aWeber as of 10:19 PST

Joy Ceilidh · 4 March 2012 - 09:25

I just started using aWeber and this is bad as I just sent out links to all my new forms! Has this happened before with aweber? Has anyone gotten an eta on repair? I don't have time to make all my forms and sign ups again with some other system!

Muslim Matrimony · 4 March 2012 - 07:18

Hi Paul, Thanks for the info. I have been panicking if there was something wrong with the proxy settings of my PC. But, why AWEBER hasn't informed its customers if there was any maintenance issue or not tweeted ? Does this happen often with Aweber ?

James Colquhoun · 4 March 2012 - 06:52

I know... have been running a promotion with 1000 signs ups per hour and now this happens... ?
