So an update on my situation; Apparently I was cut off and only JUST got the letter today stating that I would no longer be receiving benifits. I called the social security office the other day trying to figure out why I hadn't recieved my money and they told me there was nothing in the computers saying that my benifits had been stopped. Although they said they would send me an appeal letter. In that letter was the letter stating I was cut off. Apparently the decision was made back in NOVEMBER 2015! I'm now pissed because they had THAT MUCH TIME to contact me and let me know of this decision! I would advise everyone who has still not recieved their benifits to contact SSI and also check your mail.

I am not sure how to do a reply on someone elses comment. Anyway, Sarah Wildfire, no it is definitely not just you. I am having the same problem. It worries me, because usually the pending transaction is on there way before now. I am supposed to get mine tomorrow night but it is not giving a pending transaction at all. I am not sure what is going on. I would think if they were stopping it all of a sudden for some reason at all, they would contact me. I have not been contacted about it being stopped. I turned in all paperwork when asked for, etc. With my bad health problems, it doesn't help my heart one any either and it is making my heart race even faster. It is not good on the nerves that is for sure. (P.S. I am using my son/husband/dog's account, this is not my personal account I am using to post on here just for my protection).

I can't even speak to a representative about the issue. I call the number on my card , it asks for my card number, I provide that and I get a message "There is an important message about your card and you are being directed to a representative." Seconds later it says "Due to a high call volumne you will have to go to our website." . I go to the website and it does not even let me sign in saying that my password is wrong, my social security number is wrong. WTF!!!!!!!!!!

So it's past 12am in the state of HI and I still haven't received my money through direct deposit. I called the number on the back of the card but only got my past deposit information instead of the pending deposit information. Is this just me or is anyone else experiencing this? Is anybody else having trouble with the direct deposit number? I've been calling since Friday because I like to find out if my money will be in early. Normally I get the message "A pending SSI deposit of XXX will be available on mm/dd/yyyy at 1am eastern time 12am central time" But it's still only giving me the records of my past deposits. I'm getting really stressed and worried about this because I have bills tomorrow that need to be paid :(

Yes i finally got to the bottom of it. Ssi said that they got a email and it has to do with the us treasury. For some odd reason the check were not deposited. Now if you have a bank account it seems that they got the payments. Direct Express seems to be the one they didn't deposit to. Anyways she sais it would be 2 - 5 days another check will be deposited. That does suck like everyone else we have bills and other things we get on the 1st. Thanks to my mom my dogs and cats will have food until my check comes in.

Called SSI yesterday they filed a nonpayment claim cause their records show they released the funds, called the card company they said there was no record of an attempted deposit and was told to call SS back so I did and they said to go to the main office here in town and see if they can release immediate funds (to pay bills) until they figure out what is going on.

Yeah i dont think its everyone, one of my friends recieved their benefits, although they do not have direct express either. So maybe someone somewhere messed up somehow and its is just affecting a bunch of us. I dont know what days they show pending on direct express, i never checked that part.

I called SSI and they said its not direct express fault, they also said that the treasury hadnt issued any funds either, so its at the treasury still and they looked to make sure nothing was wrong like any paperwork I hadnt reported for me to be 'in trouble' with them and nothing was wrong. So they sent a message to the local office for me Olympia WA, and I have to go in first thing in the morning and start all over asking whats up. I am supposed to have a check on the first and third, and nothing. So I recommend everyone goes into their own office is possible becuase that seems to be the only solution. I will post tomorrow what I find out, until then we are all stressed and remember its not in our control and yeah it sucks, but everything will be okay, if its just a glitch in the matrix.

No pending transaction here either. called SS was told to call back after 1 if it wasnt there (we're in CA) nothing listed on Direct express and i cant reach a person to ask about anything. Have it set for a SS callback since their wait times are 40min right now.

spoke to direct express. l2 suspention means level 2 suspention. They said the issue is they sent a new card with the chip, and after so long of not activating it turns to suspention. i used my card last month. they said they sent it in august. simple solution was to answer some questions. they unsuspended current card, and will resend new card. everyone has to jave new card they said. even though i could use atm, couldnt order pizza and such

Not working in Utah. Can't get through to customer service. Auto pay didn't go through and it didn't work when I gave them my card number over the phone. @will gilbreath, contact the V.A. and have them check into your file, to make sure that all of the paperwork was done correctly, thats what the issue was for me, someone made an error and didnt double check to make sure that everything was finallized

They should have to pay customers a hundred dollars for the inconvenience they make us pay for fees they need to step up and pay us for the customers having to go through this Michigan is not working yet either it won't happen till banks open thier should be other banks offering the same type of card as the direct express luckily this isn't a state of emergency unless thier testing what people would do well hopefully when the banks open everything will work out

According to what i just heard, that it is indeed a server issue and they are working to correct the problem. yes it is very irritating some of us cannot get our money right now. but like Scott Burnz just mentioned it is easily fixable. we just have to be patient. gf got thru and was told its a server issue with the bank the government uses for SSI. Seems they're coming back up slowly but I dont think it'd be crazy to think the rush of people looking to utilize their money at the same time, just after deposits cleared, overwhelmed the banks servers and forced a reset. Irritating but easily resolvable, just be patient

This is crazy, I'm in Atlanta and mi money is on mi card,but it's declining at the atm and at the register.

I spoke with a customer service rep and she said to try again later at the ATM. I also am having the ATM issue here in Michigan

I've had Direct Express since 2008 & this has happened half a dozen times in the last 1 1/2 years. It's coming back up. I was just able to use it. Check it again, Everybody.

I have been using the DIRECT EXPRESS program for nearly 2 years and this is the first time i ever had this problem. Of course alot of people are having the same problem right now. Alot of the posts i have read shows the same problem. We have funds on our cards but cannot access them. Well some people can but alot of us cannot. What is going on

the card company is not a government card they just chose to go with that company ! i am getting mine switched t bank account

its the card ! if it was the government the funds wouldnt be there , mine is there just cant access it

I cant access any money but my card clearly shows the funds is there. How is it working for some people but not all who are on direct express
