Can't Access TitanTV - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Just got back and tried it (was trying every 2-3hours) IT WORKS YAYY! While it was out I used Zap2it, and a pretty good TVguide from Wichita Falls newspaper, but nothing is as good as TitanTV

Control F5 worked. It has been down for me for a few days so I checked google like it suggested. That led me to this site which said it was up, but a normal refresh didn't work (like it hasn't for these last few days). So I tried Control F5 and that worked. Thanks for the education.

zap2it.com and tvguide.com are two other websites that allow you to customize your stations and feeds. Most other sites that provide tv listings use the data of these two sites and titantv.com. Its strange that there was no warning nor any redirect to a "we're doing maintenance" page. Hopefully it will be back soon.

Randal Hoag · 13 July 2013 - 08:19

Suffering withdrawals, but I thought it was only me, until Mr. Google led me here.

Titan is often down when I first try to use it around 7am in NY, but it usually is back later in the morning. This 17 hour outage is more than routine maintenance. Annoying that they can't set up some sort of mirror server to avoid these outages, or at least put up some sort of notice. I just set up an account on Zap2it to use as a back up. You might also want to try tv.com. They're advertisers should know TitanTV is poorly managed, since Titan obviously doesn't care about they're users.

Dennis Baker · 13 July 2013 - 06:22
United States · Syniverse Technologies

Zap2it is not as nice for antenna reception when you can get some channels from multiple regions. You can add channels from another region, but it only shows the channel numbers for the current location. Plus, it doesn't sort them by number. Plus titan tv lets you have multiple lineups, for instance you can have a weekend location and a weekday location. It is annoying they are down, but they really have some features I use that zap2it does not. They also show the original airdates when available. Not a big deal, but neat to know when that episode of Lone Ranger or Night Gallery originally aired.

Cherie Ohlsson · 13 July 2013 - 05:47
United States · Mediacom Communications

I don't see anywhere to put comments or change the channel numbers on Zap2it. With TitanTV I was able to have settings saved for multiple places I travel regularly, with the specific channels I get. The channels on zap2it do not match the actual channel numbers the stations are on my TV cable. Does anyone know what is wrong with TitanTV and if it is going to be back?

Is there a replacement site that allows you to manually change the channel numbers on the listings to match your TV's channels and save them? TitanTV is the only one I've found.
