A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

No emails in or able to be received. what's going on

I have since learned that Terra.es is migrating to Terra.com where you can open a new account free. However they are not redirecting your emails and bouncing them back stating that you (not they) have rejected the email. I have lost £200 this week because work that I sent to an agency didn't arrive and when they wrote to enquire where it was their email bounced back. I am a writer and missed their deadline. The damage to my freelance business is immeasurable at the moment. The email address is linked to practically every account I have on the internet. Telefonica is legendary for its lack of customer service but even I did not believe they would do this. It would take very little coding to redirect our email for a short period. I have now set up an account with Gmail and will not be opening a new one with Terra.com - if they can do it once, they can do it again and I cannot afford to take the risk.

This is the exact message I am getting "TerraId no está disponible en estos momentos.
Disculpa las molestias. Estamos trabajando para ofrecerte el mejor servicio.

I haven't had an email for over 12 hours and having gone into web mail it says that they are working on the server to "improve it for their users". That will be a novelty!!! The thing that annoys me is that there is no helpline, no notice on their home page and no support number. Good old Telefonica strikes again!!

My messages don't 'send' immediately and sometimes go after a few hours. However, It's almost 12 hours since I tried to send my last message. What on earth is going on?
