Can't Access Polyvore - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

I can get to where you explore other people sets and stuff, but when i go to make my own set it messes up. Somtimes it will let me add a shirt but when i go to add shorts a thing will pop up saying do you want to leave this page. Wi hit yes it go to the thing where you make the set and erases the shirt i put on there. Other times it doesn't work at all. Is i polyvore that isn't working or is something wrong with my computer???

A week ago, Polyvore was working fine, but then all of a sudden a few days ago it stopped loading right. All that comes up now is text and the occasional outfit if I'm lucky.

Polyvore isn't working right now, I just keep getting "We cannot complete your request at this time. Please try again later." At first it was only on certain pages, but now it's the whole site.

I am on my laptop and all websites work apart from Polyvore. It loads but the website doesn's come up, it is just a blank page

It looks like it is Internet Explorer or any browser using Internet Explorer rendering that is the problem (at least on some computers). I can switch between rendering engines with Avant Ultimate; Internet Explorer rendering doesn't work but Chrome rendering does. Downloading an update for the Intel graphics chipset for my Toshiba all-in-one did not alleviate the problem.

Sandy Cox · 19 March 2013 - 18:03

The Polyvore site first displayed blank squares in place of my items and then progressed so that now the main page displays for a moment before turning into a blank white screen (browser interface still intact). My husband and I both have Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9 on our computers but it works fine on his system. I have a Toshiba all-in-one LX835-D3203 so I wondered if it didn't have something to do with the integrated graphics chipset (highly uneducated guess) combined with a Windows update or a change to Polyvore's site since it worked fine before. I downloaded Avant Browser (Ultimate Version includes IE, Firefox and Chrome rendering engines) and Polyvore works great with it, although it is still screwed up when I go back to the Internet Explorer Browser. I'm wondering if there isn't a firmware or software update that might be an alternative solution. Device Manager lists Intel HD Graphics 3000 under display adapters on my computer. It would be interesting to know if this problems was confined to just notebooks and all-in-one compters.
