Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

no email since around 10... bad part is that we handle calls from 811 call before you dig services via email. Hope we dont miss an email and someone gets hurt or killed. There would be a lawsuit. Having trouble with response time this morning with hosted web site thru including php/mysql hosting package. Transactions that are normally subsecond are taking up to 20 secs. And occasional response time out. This happens for brief periods occasionally, but I had not experienced it for several months. Will try agan later and contact support if it is still slow.

This provider is constantly down in one way or another. They are incredibly slow too.They are not worth the money they charge for so many reasons. I wish I had gotten my domains and hosting packages through some other company at this point. I only chose them because I liked that NS provides me the ability to install open source apps and manage databases with ease, however they even suck at that. I had to completely give up on Joomla for the fact they took months to years to update it, and when they finally did, it was not even the most up to date version available. I spent a good amount of money on Rocket theme subscriptions and other developers apps only to eventually go to waste- NO THANKS to NS. What upsets me most is that I operate a site for a friend and when people visit there to see NOTHING, that makes me look the idiot, but no, you are the idiots NETWORK SOLUTIONS

Not only are they down now, but the latest version of Wordpress they support is 3.6. I received a notice from wordpress to update my version of jetpack to the current version within 48 hours, because the old version will stop working in 48 hours. Network Solutions hosted sites down in Los Angeles. NS homepage inaccessible. FTP inaccessible. Login inaccessible. No updates from them and according to this site it is up...? Some sort of regional outage, but all the tech guys who should know and be on top of it are completely oblivious.

Update: in Germany is where Time Warner Cable in Los Angeles is routing internet traffic on 22 April 2014 according to a proxy trace. is down and so our business website hosted by Network Solutions in Virginia is inaccessible. Why does the route go to Germany then back to the US for a few more hops? Is anyone responsible for this traffic that is bringing down lots of businesses?

It's getting worse. In the last couple of weeks NS has stopped working of and on through out the day. It's to the point where I'm signing into my account 5-8 times each hour due to it either getting bounced out or just because it has stopped working. Network Solutions email is terrible. Their mail server deletes what "they" think is spam and does not put it in a spam folder so I can make the determination. I reached network solutions email support number after an 11 minute wait. The rep checked my e-mail and confirmed it looked ok. The emails that were not delivered to my mail box this week were from yahoo and sbc. He said that there have been reports of problems with yahoo and sbc email servers and the emails I did not get may not have gotten off of their server.

Since I bought my domain and web design and hosting paket with network solutions I can not do anything I only receive this message The requested URL /share/users/74/743103/websites/907182/5/preview/masterpagesitetemplate.html was not found on this server.
Apache/1.3.26 Server at Port 8080 So it has been now THREE days of losing my time and money. The website does not even download well. What to do?

Just called support. They confirmed that it was NOT an outside DDOS attack. They were having issues with their internal servers. I can forgive the former, but not the latter.

After calling NetSol's Gold VIP support and having it ring busy for an hour, then finally getting through, and then staying on hold for about 50 minutes, the answer to my "what happened" question was "there aren't any outages, nor have there been for quite some time". Name Services were on the fritz for nearly 2 hours today, and I had *plenty* of pissed off customers who couldn't get to needed, business-critical servers. I'm moving all Name Services to Amazon's Route53 this evening for two reasons: 1 - NetSol won't admit that they had a problem even when they are caught in the middle of it. 2 - NetSol *never* admits that they have a problem...must be nice to be as infallible as NetSol...

Normally wouldn't comment when everything is working, but everything has been up and running for 1 hour and 35 minutes from here in the Silicon Valley and access to Network Solutions' website is running at full speed. I still would like to know what happened, because if it was because Network Solutions shot themselves in the foot (or even if not) we're moving DNS to a separate company. If it wasn't DOS attack, it's pretty disappointing as a long-time Network Solutions customer.
