Can't Access Moonfruit - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

OMG IS THIS FOR REAL? I think I will be moving to six and demanding a refund. I may have to rebuild all my websites but this is one time to many, I think they feel that we have to stay with them no marred how appalling the service as we have spent so much time on our websites.... That can only work to a certain level and I think they have gone way past that now.

I have a website with moonfruit but when I log in on their dashboard it says I don't have a website. I emailed the support and they replied with this (which I have no idea what it means)

From Moonfruit:
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to restore the previous version of your site, as it was deleted more than 90 days after ago. I'm afraid it has now been purged from our system, and is unrecoverable.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. You can build a new site using the same account.
If you have any question please let me know.

Update, 15/12/2015, 15:25 (GMT)

Our operations team is making steady progress and has overcome a number of issues, but there are still a few more to be dealt with. We know how difficult this is for you and we’re doing everything we can to help get you back where you need to be.

The service is currently intermittent, with sites loading in most cases, but it is still not possible to log in to your account.

Our support team is working through your email queries, but responses may take a little longer than usual due to a high number of requests.

We will provide our next update not later than 6 pm (GMT).

· · Chrome 47.0 on Windows

Yes I feel for you and other retailers that now have a slow loading website or nothing at all.

It won't log me in. Everytime I put in my username and password it shows I have logged in then page refreshes and I am not logged in. Very poor service and without logging in it takes about a minute and a half to show my home page.

We rely on Moonfruit to host entry forms for our promotions. Their site and ours have been down intermittently throughout the day, and there appears to be no way to contact them. Can anyone here provide an update?

The Hard Sell · 30 July 2014 - 08:57

Very frustrating. The amount of time I have invested in Moonfruit and building 2 sites makes it a rather painful idea to change to another provider, yet they seem to have continuous issues....

Tom Camuso · 12 February 2014 - 12:09

Hmm down for me, at least I take comfort in that tihis is happening for other people. If it was isolated, I don't think I could rebuild the site again.
