Marks and Spencer website has been a nightmare ever since they redesigned it at huge expense I'm sure. Been trying all night to place an order and after crashing several times, it finally took all my husbands debit card details before crashing again. Now I don't know if my order has been processed or not. I shall no longer be using M and S website, shame really as I'm sure they could do with every sale they can get their hands on in an attempt to turn around their reducing sales figures.

I got to the bottom of it. Was a compatibility issue between M&S website and Google Chrome. I logged in on IE and it let me proceed without an issue.

One of the very few occasions where IE actually works better than chrome! >.

I managed to get telephone advice - advice was to use Firefox - i already use firefox- advised then to update it,, did that, no difference. I use the internet many times a day - use Etsy, Folksy, ebay and many other retail outlets with no problems at all - asked in the shop, they said it was my browser's fault. I've accessed this one my browser, no problem. I tried just now to navigate in the site, have to click option to the extreme left, slightly off screen to get anything to work wanted to look at women's dresses - petite . Looked at the phone help numbers, couldn't find a number to ring about this. M&S must be losing millions on this, i was a regular visitor to their website. Have managed to buy a Petite range dress only by visiting their store in Newcastle.

I cannot access site on pc (windows 8) Checked browser/cookies etc as instructed but nothing works. Can't access main menu, Site jumps about when items clicked on and then I couldn't purchase. I selected colour but size impossible. Have given up, seems I'm not the only person having problems. Used to work perfectly.

I and I think lots of potential customers would have been happy with the truth ie

Yes I am in Australia and cannot proceed beyond a certain point. I have e mailed three times and received two apologetic reponses but no time scale as to when it will work properly again. I am told that the technical department people are 'aware' of the problem. I am advised that I can ring the order through but the 0845 number is expensive from the other side of the world, and I have quite a long order list waiting !
