Fix DNS Problems

JustHost uptime and support are both poor. I have VPS and site goes down every week at the moment. Support have no idea what to do other than reboot server. It usually takes ages to get through to support. If the timer says 1 minute wait, that can be an hour. Support on Twitter is just an advertising channel. Would not recommend JustHost to my worst enemy.

Give them a break guys. They are generally very good. I have 2 VPS servers with them and both receive about 98%-100% uptime every month. No hosting company can guarantee constant uptime but hitting those margains is quite impressive.

Support is good and if you can't get them on live chat then they respond within minutes on Twitter.

The only gripe I have with them is I would like to know when they're carrying out maintenance on the servers with having a couple of VPS account, I'm a pretty high priority customer.

Justhost has proven to have had a data attack and since then (about 3 or 4 weeks ago) has created problems that the tech support say "is my problem" but ends up they fix the fpt and it was obvious that it was caused by the data attack and they didn't want to state they had a problem. I'm looking at moving my accounts now, this is all so unreliable and they are not being honest about what's happened or how they will or will not solve it. Don't bother hanging in there, move to another host, it's got to be better than this. When a retail store is down then it means you dont earn money and you waste your money on marketing promoting directing people to a stomre that's not accessible.

My web host, JustHost.com, is down for my sites, and its phone lines are down too. They have a message up on LIveChat that indicates they're aware their phone lines are down and that "some customers' sites are responding slowly, " but mine are completely inaccessible, as is the JustHost login panel.

Edit: I have two accounts at JustHost, and the other one is working fine. And a couple of the monitoring services are saying JustHost is up and running, so this must be a spotty outtage.

Just checked with Justhost, and some of their customers are experiencing what will appear to the customer to be a website hijack, but is in reality a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack... support told me that someone sent a whole bunch of pings to the server that hosts our accounts and that has caused the server to be brought down... they said it should be cleared up within a few hours.

All websites are down for me on just host. It started today around 5:30pm eastern time, first emails started getting slow and then I couldn't go into just host cpanel, and lastly as of 20 minutes ago all my websites are down (on dedicated servers and also some not on dedicated servers.)

Tyler Magnuson I have been working on this shit for more than 15 years. I moved all of my 35 client's websites from GOFUCKY to JustHost just imagine 35 clients on your f#!king neck the whole day... Now come on... You know as well as I do that they DID NOT SHUT DOWN THE SITE for security. JustHost have been having issues for f#!king ever. You know this kind of updates are scheduled. That if these kind of maintenance shit is for our own sake and safety they don't even waste their time coming up with excuses and blaming all the hell breaking loose on the customer's programming and all that. They could have either sent an email letting all the customers that the sites will be down for safety. They would have instruct those good for nothing "technicians" to explain the SAFETY MEASURE instead of letting them say WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OUR SERVERS. And to top it all up they did send an email LAST WEEK stating they updated the servers to be safe about the heartbleed shit. Also when you call since LAST WEEK they have a recording that clearly states they have done the updates in regards the HeartBleed shit and some users might experience issues with ssl emails. Which all in all means WHAT EVER IS HAPPENING TODAY IT IS NOT RELATED to go into PANIC and shut down shit. THEY HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE of what's going on and have NO BACKUP PLAN. I understand all servers have SOME issues but JustHosts seems to HAVE THEM ALL!

lol.. it is getting a bit ridiculous now, and believe me I'm losing money as well but this Heartbleed shit/security issue is all over the internet. They went into panic mode as they should and just shut it all down. If you look up the top 10 server companies ive used them all the last 10 years and they are all the same. They are going to go down at some point. 99.9% is what most companies guarantee, which still leaves room for error. You'd be 10 times as pissed if your sites got hacked and you weren't backed up than being down a few hours. Most security holes are patched ahead of time but nothing is 100%.

Servers being down are not acceptable. We used to get 5.8 minutes a year down time, a year, after this jobs were lost. And the websites never went down, redundant servers, it does make you question competence levels. It will be a big job but once the servers get back I am migrating away quickly.

If they were updating anything they would have an ETA and they don't/ NOT EVEN THEIR PHONES ARE WORKING CORRECTLY. Up until 5 mins. a go you were able to logging into you control panel. Now NOT EVEN THEIR WEBSITE is working. BULL SHIT! They are not updating ANYTHING. They are DOWN. The difference between UPDATING FOR SECURITY (which COME ON everybody knows that a) it is scheduled in advance and informed to their customer and b) is done on night hours so people doesn't get affected that bad) AND OUR SERVICE IS A PIECE OF SHIT AND WE HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON is that with the first excuse they will not credit you the service. Site is Down YET ONE MORE TIME. It has been over 45 mins. It is NOT a DATABASE ERROR. IT IS NOT A 404 ERROR. Simply Google can't access the page because the server is DOWN... if you call them they will systematically will blame Wordpress and/or the plug ins you have instal. On one occasion I was on a "chat" trying to find out why I couldn't assign a domain to my account. The "advisor" took the last four digits of my credit card for security reasons then told me he had no time for "idle chat" and ended the connection. Appalling customer service.

Just Host are a joke. The past few days they have been throttling my site for no reason, claiming that I am using too much CPU on a shared server when in fact I am using less than 1/4 of my allowance per month.

I have finally sorted out that issue with them, 2 hours later their entire server crashes and my site goes down. AGAIN.

Will Just Host cover the cost of my missed conversions? I think not. Most of us won't even get an email apologizing for the downtime.

I planned to work on my website - charlyslife.com - all day today but I cannot. This is extremely frustrating! I just filled out a form for Just Host citing this as a problem (downtime/slowness) but at the time didn't realize how bad it really is. I have several sites on GODADDY, and have never experienced any problems.

If what Hazem Al Hijjawi said is correct then this isn't Just Host's fault. Just their back luck to be on Endurance International Group’s data center. How long did it take to get fixed in August?

Good Luck getting a refund if you drop them. No, there is no way to access emails that they host if their servers are down. You won't have email until it's back up or until you move to another host.

I tried the phone number and it says it's Not In Service. I hope that just means that their phone is down too.

What a pain it will be to move everything to another host. I was a real Just Host fan until now. Their customer service has been really good when I had questions. I have my sites monitored and I have very little down time over all but I do get short outages fairly frequently, usually only a few minutes. I'm hoping this is something they will get fixed I don't want to have to start over with another host!

Company websites and some phone services were affected as well. The company was unable to respond to most phone calls because of the network outage at Bluehost's datacenter.

Whilst I have used Just Host for several years and with several accounts, and for much of that time they have seemed fine, they have at times been utterly diabolical on support, and have a range of ludicrous 'tricks' regarding billing, which finally became too much.

And so for a year or so now I have been relocating my business elsewhere, one account at a time, which is a real pain - and a lot of needless work. JustHost are no longer price competitive either. iPage seem very good, so long as you do not want to use sub-domains (which we use a lot). I have moved 2 accounts to them.

WebHostingPad seem absolutely fine and I have now moved five accounts there. The only problem I have had with them is uploading using Dreamweaver, of even using Coffee Cup FTP. Only FileZilla seems to work with WebHostingPad. Goodness knows how that can be?

I am assuming that if I keep on at support they will eventually help me configure so FTP works through Dreamweaver. Every web site on the remaining two accounts I have with Just Host have been down since 5.30 GMT. And the Just Host website is also down. So something serious has happened.

This is just not acceptable. No information or guidance when it will be back on air. My Web Site is down and my e mails. Not a good ending for 2013 and not a good start potentially for 2014. Anyone got ant news???

Customer service has been great for me, but the server down issues have been increasing and I'm concerned they just don't have well architected infastructure in place. May be time to research other options.

Guys, It is not only just host, look like the Servers farm in Provo, UT is down, there are a lot of other hosting companies, bluehost, hostmonster, justhost all down
