Browser Related Problems

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

Down again & again. You would think they would put in a few swing servers and move the hosting to those so there is no down time. Getting really tired of this & also hate they offer $3.99 hosting for first timmers. What about us who been customers for years???

I'm having lots of problems with email spam, cpanel and whilst SSS. Just host say change browser but it does the same and locks me out saying there is a security issue. The spam must be a server hack because I'm getting emails to domains we do not use so are only on the shared server

This is not justhost. It is a Telstra problem. I can view my site on mobile 4G which is vodafone. Can't view on Telstra cable. Telstra are aware of the problem and say they are working on it. Was told this by Telstra this afternnon. Couldn't give me any timeframe when it might be fixed.

It's TELSTRA not JUSTHOST! I have used Justhost for 5 years now and have 6 servers. Only ever had 10 mins of downtime plus always had timely response for support tickets. On the other hand my Telstra ADSL goes up and down like a yoyo. Justhost has been great for me.

hi there - I am having the same issues for client web sites (justhost hosted sites not viewable/accessible in Australia.) Luckily I have a coder in Eastern Europe on the case right now who can access, log in and cancel things etc for me. Meanwhile I have a tip for retrieving emails - go to mail2web.com and with the email address and email address password, you should at least be able to see and reply to new emails, as it's bypassing the Telstra problem. Band aid, I know! Also if anyone wants a hand moving hosting, I can do it for you as I have my own hosting business. That I started because all the 'popular' webhosts are so crap! I've spoken to Telstra and they could not detect any issues. They said they believe it is an IP with justhost that is causing the issue and its not to do with Telstra. Some other providers, justhost is not loading on either.

Just did the 'Live chat' with someone on Justhost. They said it's Telstra's fault, and that they have been in contact to rectify the issue. They Also said it should be fixed within 24 hours. Let's see if it's true or not...

Definitely not working. I have had so many issues with Justhost of late and I'm fed up and have now signed over to crazy domains.
The issues that are regular that I have experienced are problems with the email manager on the cpanel, problems receiving and sending emails, them taking my sites down due to excess data (but without advising me), problems logging into myPHP, Cpanel freezing, authentication problems, and a very long wait time on support chat... this could be a telstra issue today but I am appalled either way.

If you're more concerned about does it work or not then yes Telstra customers are noticing now. Change your DNS servers to Google's public ones if you want to get to your sites while JustHost fix their shit. Be aware this is just a bandaid solution for your to avoid noticing the issue and will stop working if the problem is not resolved soon on JustHost's end.

I can confirm it is 100% not a Telstra issue. It is affecting multiple countries and I cannot access their primary nameservers from my Optus 4G hotspot either. You may notice it works for now but if JustHost don't fix their shit soon then your service will break by 6:40 am tomorrow too.

I can confirm that it must be a telstra issue. I have tried with no luck but as soon as I use VPN software and access via a US or other Server I can login to my site and carry on working. (I'm in South Australia)

Access to emails is constantly unavailable over the past 3 weeks. Each attempt ends up with either an error code or getting to the access page but then no "auto open" using the email reader that I have setup, only to when clicked to then have the error code. Not happy!

JustHost uptime and support are both poor. I have VPS and site goes down every week at the moment. Support have no idea what to do other than reboot server. It usually takes ages to get through to support. If the timer says 1 minute wait, that can be an hour. Support on Twitter is just an advertising channel. Would not recommend JustHost to my worst enemy.

Give them a break guys. They are generally very good. I have 2 VPS servers with them and both receive about 98%-100% uptime every month. No hosting company can guarantee constant uptime but hitting those margains is quite impressive.

Support is good and if you can't get them on live chat then they respond within minutes on Twitter.

The only gripe I have with them is I would like to know when they're carrying out maintenance on the servers with having a couple of VPS account, I'm a pretty high priority customer.

Justhost has proven to have had a data attack and since then (about 3 or 4 weeks ago) has created problems that the tech support say "is my problem" but ends up they fix the fpt and it was obvious that it was caused by the data attack and they didn't want to state they had a problem. I'm looking at moving my accounts now, this is all so unreliable and they are not being honest about what's happened or how they will or will not solve it. Don't bother hanging in there, move to another host, it's got to be better than this. When a retail store is down then it means you dont earn money and you waste your money on marketing promoting directing people to a stomre that's not accessible.

My web host, JustHost.com, is down for my sites, and its phone lines are down too. They have a message up on LIveChat that indicates they're aware their phone lines are down and that "some customers' sites are responding slowly, " but mine are completely inaccessible, as is the JustHost login panel.

Edit: I have two accounts at JustHost, and the other one is working fine. And a couple of the monitoring services are saying JustHost is up and running, so this must be a spotty outtage.

Just checked with Justhost, and some of their customers are experiencing what will appear to the customer to be a website hijack, but is in reality a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack... support told me that someone sent a whole bunch of pings to the server that hosts our accounts and that has caused the server to be brought down... they said it should be cleared up within a few hours.

All websites are down for me on just host. It started today around 5:30pm eastern time, first emails started getting slow and then I couldn't go into just host cpanel, and lastly as of 20 minutes ago all my websites are down (on dedicated servers and also some not on dedicated servers.)

The justhost.com site is in fact down as well as my three sites hosted there. I checked through three different IP addresses, including my cell phone- all show the domain is un-reachale or timed out.

Everything says the site is up and running but the justhost.com site, as well as my registered domains parked in there, including my website and email accounts, have been up and down all day since yesterday. Right now, 7pm EST, it is down and even the helpdesk.­justhost.­com link appears to malfunction.

justhost support says the issues will be resolved in not more than 24 hrs !!! and sites will be up ..huh. Is 24 hrs a reasonable time in this age of internet. Is criminal for a website to be down for such a long time.

Tyler Magnuson I have been working on this shit for more than 15 years. I moved all of my 35 client's websites from GOFUCKY to JustHost just imagine 35 clients on your f#!king neck the whole day... Now come on... You know as well as I do that they DID NOT SHUT DOWN THE SITE for security. JustHost have been having issues for f#!king ever. You know this kind of updates are scheduled. That if these kind of maintenance shit is for our own sake and safety they don't even waste their time coming up with excuses and blaming all the hell breaking loose on the customer's programming and all that. They could have either sent an email letting all the customers that the sites will be down for safety. They would have instruct those good for nothing "technicians" to explain the SAFETY MEASURE instead of letting them say WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OUR SERVERS. And to top it all up they did send an email LAST WEEK stating they updated the servers to be safe about the heartbleed shit. Also when you call since LAST WEEK they have a recording that clearly states they have done the updates in regards the HeartBleed shit and some users might experience issues with ssl emails. Which all in all means WHAT EVER IS HAPPENING TODAY IT IS NOT RELATED to go into PANIC and shut down shit. THEY HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE of what's going on and have NO BACKUP PLAN. I understand all servers have SOME issues but JustHosts seems to HAVE THEM ALL!

Sorry about the blurt out on my last message. I was on the phone on hold with the f#!kers when you called me a tool! I needed to vent. SORRY!

lol.. it is getting a bit ridiculous now, and believe me I'm losing money as well but this Heartbleed shit/security issue is all over the internet. They went into panic mode as they should and just shut it all down. If you look up the top 10 server companies ive used them all the last 10 years and they are all the same. They are going to go down at some point. 99.9% is what most companies guarantee, which still leaves room for error. You'd be 10 times as pissed if your sites got hacked and you weren't backed up than being down a few hours. Most security holes are patched ahead of time but nothing is 100%.
