Why does it say gumtree is broken everytime I try to get on to the page?

I cannot upload pictures in my add for a car sale, Cape Town, South Africa. Is there a problem on Gumtree?

Can't post ad as can't register - your email comes to me then I click on link and you say it's not recognised!

I've sent an email to Gumtree. They've replied saying that they are working on the issue but just literally now they've sent me another email saying about that email I've sent to them and that if I do not reply to them within the next 24 hours they'll assume everything is fixed. Clearly it hasn't so I've done another follow/chase up. Not impressed. :/

I've tried posting adds in 3 different accounts and keeps on failing. Something majorly wrong with the website.

It's at least a month that the website doesn't work! I am very disappointed!!!

I still can't reply to ads, it's like this since beginning of March! Is everybody having the same problem? It's so annoying, I can't answer to many interesting job ads. When they are going to fix it???

Can access the website but when I try to respond to an advert it just flicks over and says cannot be displayed.

Over 1 week and I still can't reply to ads. Frustrating as so many good job opportunities are on there and yet I can't send in my CV!!!

I'm having trouble replying to an ad on Gumtree, everytime i enter my information and click send it just refreshes the page. Is it just me or are other people having similar problems?

I can browse gumtree ok, but as soom as i try to put in ad. nothing works ? i am also using mobile internet, what the fu-- is the problem with them.

i get to my post an add page then pick the category then after i do that the continue button is meant to come up but it don't. what can i do to sort this out ???

Many people are getting the "500 Gumtree is broken" error when they apply for jobs, but it doesn't seem to affect everyone. Very odd.

Gumtree broken... has been for about a week now... Ayrshire...

i can post an advert but after a while somebody delet de adverts and after a can't anymore to post another. i have allready 5 account and all are blocked... they told me cause i didn't respect the rules... i tryed in different ways but still they delete... shame on it

now gumtree is just a wasting time... we have to look for other site

What's wrong with Gumtree??? I have been trying to reply job ads and always comes out the message "500- Gumtree is broken" It's been like that for weeks now.

Surely Amazon have some of the best I.T. people around so if they have taken over Gumtree I dont think they would allow the system down this long.

Amazon.com have taken Gumtree over and bought them. There either intergrating Amazon with Gumtree and theres issues or a synical corporate profit making scheme may have took place strategically before Christmas so folks buy off Amazon (personal opinion.) that may not be truebut there is logic in it.

I have to keep setting up new email addresses coz as soon as i reply to an advert my email gets blocked i have spoken to gumtree but they just say nothing wrong with the site and that my addresses are not blocked but something is wrong coz i never get a reply to my responses whatsoever so i am going to stop using gumtree as its a complete waste of time

I too have been having problems uploading a photo for an AD. contacted customer services and got a reply;

Thank you for your email. I have noticed that people who are having issues uploading pictures are either:

* using 3G or mobile internet

* using an iphone/ipad/ipod device (unfortunately we don't accept pictures through these devices, but our technical team are working on this urgently)

* using outdated browsers such as Internet Explorer

* using Internet Explorer with Add-Ons that interfere with the site

* trying to upload large sized images and getting a time out message (please try and resize using http://www.picresize.com/ )

Ive been looking for an apartment and its been downs for a few days now... anone know good sites for london rentals?

i have been getting gumtree no problem on my home pc in kirkcaldy near edinburgh but on my friends laptop with mobile itnernet its not working. does anyone know if this has been fixed yed?

pain in the butt been trying to post ads for over a week and like others, type it all up and then taken to active ads, GRRRRR emailed customer support and got a rubbish reply that they are having "technical issues" yeah helpful. Tried different browsers, android phone, and tablet and no joy

Tried for the past 2 days and still cant get anything. Gumtree opens up but page just freezes. I can't shut page down or even try to open a new page.

Tried two nights on the trot now and the home page just keeps 'hanging'!

Gumtree.com is playing up again (in the UK)! It lets you get onto the site but as soon as you search for something it just stays on that page teasing you but you can't look down the page OR look at anything! Grrrrr

gumtree is a shambles, its always down, they need to sort it, so frustrating, and customer services is a joke, owned by ebay you would think it would work better.

...Guessing something serious is up for the entire worldwide server to be down..?

Tried countless numbers of times to post an ad today and yesterday and just keeps going back to the top of the page or back to view active ads! Is the site down?

Is Gumtree down? Trying to put an ad up but keeps going to the top of the page when I click post instead of going to a different page. I have tried Internet Explorer and Google Chrome as well. I'm guessing it's gumtree and not which browser I am using.

tried posting ad and so has mate keeps going back to post an ad after you enter everything. As usual customer service are Stih and don't get back to you. Have started using Friday ad now

gumtree problems are you using exploror 9 the new one delete it use exploror 8 works fine for me now i couldnt use gumtree for 3 months till i done this
