Can't Access Google - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Google has been virtually non-existent since Saturday. Thought they were being hacked. White pages with error boxes. blank screens, pages taking minutes to load. But I have an answer that works beautifully. YAHOO! Woo Hoo! Yeah, rack off Google. I'm over your big boy tactics, your pushy ways on Youtube, your insistence that I shouldn't try to live without Plus. And now these delays...and NO public response. Fire the kids in the play pen and get back to bascis, eg customer service.

I did get the Internet Traffic Report site to load, but don't know if it's updating properly. It's shown major routers out in California and Seattle for days! Why would that produce the symptoms of some things working fast and sone white pages of death?

· · Chrome 46.0 on Windows

Been crippled online for what seems like over a week. Changed Chrome browser setting to DuckDuckGo to see all the posts from others. Some websites will open fast/normally, some have no connectivity at all/white error page. Charter email loads all but the actual email page. Days ago, Charter seemed clueless, said my modem tested needing replacement. So glad to find others reporting same issues! Can't get a Google search page to try changing settings. It's really hitting me how much of my life needs a good connection! I wanted to cancel a monthly subscription and pay bills. Every time I turn around I want information and to check for client emails. Scary.

FOR THOSE RECEIVING BLANK SEARCH RESULTS ON GOOGLE. On the google home page, before you do ANYTHING, there should be a "Settings" option at the very bottom right, click it, select "Search Settings." Get in there and change your "Google Instant Predictions" setting to anything BUT "Only when my computer is fast enough." Selecting the "Always" and/or "Never" option have both solved this issue for me. If selecting "Always" doesn't fix the problem for you, then just set it to "Never."

Sometimes after a long wait, it will finally show search results, but usually it sits there and never ends up producing anything. Something is definitely wrong with Google today. Driving me NUTS!!!! Same problem as everyone else. It won't give results when I click search. It's only a problem on chrome for me. On my other browsers (IE, Firefox, Edge) it's just slower than usual.
