Browser Related Problems

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Since 6 AM (and no lungs left from screaming), I can access the f!@#$%^&*ed up email, but when you click onto an e-mail, the excite pigs will NOT let you read mail. It spins with loading. How damn long does it need to load? Even old mail the brats won't let you reread.

been unable to open mail since 12/2. I too have had excite for some time without a glitch, but this is a real pain in the bottom now. what's especially bad is that excite doesn't appear to have a contact phone number, so we can report the problem. I have sent trouble email to them and instructed them to not send to my excite in box, because, dah, I cannot open the mail, but they continue to send to it, instead of sending to a newly created email account with gmail. at this point, I have no idea as to what to do... happy holidays to all!!! p.s. excite - U SUCK!!!

I was able to send an email last Thursday afternoon, and after that nothing. Didn't check over the weekend, but Monday morning finds me, again, unable to send or receive any email. I can delete old messages, but I can't save drafts or update addresses. What's the deal? I'd really hate to have to change email accounts -- I like Excite, and it's served me well for quite a while. This situation, however, is not cool AT ALL.

I haven't received email from Excite.com since 9/7/13. I can't log into my email at the website from my home computers and was only able to log in using a school computer once this week. I can't seem to get problem tickets to go through, either, as I get an error message after hitting "Finish" on the help center page. My Excite was up in the morning yesterday and then later when I click 'Email' it wouldn't open and just a blank page opens and nothing happens. I've been using them as my primary email for many years maybe 14 or so. I just don't understand this. There's been a few problems over the years but nothing like this. They sent me a letter to my other email address saying that they shut my email down because I was sending too many. I hardly ever send email. They also said there was the possibility my email may have been breached. From reading messages from other here, it sounds like I was not the only one. just a note my excite is up and email is working now, seems we got to to them on the notifications, mind you if you do access your email keep the tickets handy for you never now if they may go down, do not delete them. They are working as fast as possible to resolve all excite mail.

I fixed mine. Apparently my e-mail address was hacked into and Microsoft halted it's use. You have to open an account on the Microsoft website and verify your excite e-mail address and confirm your phone #. Mine works like a champ now. Hope this helps you all...
