We have tried pinging EDD California website using our server and the website returned the above results. If edd.ca.gov is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

i just received an email from the EDD:
"Thank you for your inquiry. We apologize for the inconvenience. UI Online has been experiencing technical difficulties. We are working diligently to resolve the issue in a timely manner. We hope to have the issue resolved soon. While this issue is being resolved, you may certify by mailing in the paper claim form. Thank you for your patience."

for all of you who can't certify: by some miracle, i got through to the inside of the EDD. they know there is a problem. their advice is keep trying to certify online. i told them that both the telecert and webcert are not working. they had no useful advice. they're trying to say it's only affecting a few people.

I cannot certify over the phone or on the Web! It tells me I have created a login when I never have had one tried to rest the info to see my username and it will not let me in so how am I supposed to pay my bills on time and have money to live? Also never received a paper claim form in the mail wow EDD is messed up!

UI online will not accept my password since Sunday. They auto-sent a temp password that does not work either. Support page says they're available until 5:00 pst, but the Support phone line says they close at noon. WTF?

Hi, I went all the way through my sdi certification and it would not do the final step. When I pushed the very last button nothing happened. I can't log back on there is some server error, even tho I reset my modem and phone. I don't know if my claim is accepted or not. I don't know what to do. Do I have to drive off this mountain to go to an office, because nobody answers your phones. My phone is 707 9944883 or 3501424. Thank you. Danielle Ricard

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable. Like everyone else read the maintenance note said June 17 through 11 a.m. on June 18th and it is now 2:33 PM on June 19th and problems can't certify. What is wrong with EDD that they are not monitoring the site better.

This is the error message your site displays: Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to https://ccr.edd.ca.gov again. If this error persists, it is possible that this site uses an unsupported protocol. Please contact the site administrator.. My settings are correct. It is NOT my computer. It's you.

I hate that I get half way through submitting my claim then it takes forever to load the next page once I hit submit and then suddenly it cannot display the page. I end of having to start all over. I have tried at least 10 times today and still cannot submit it. They seriously need to fix this issue because this isn't the first time this has happened. It is very frustrating especially when I know nothing is wrong with my internet connection.

Okay, on 11/21/2015 There was a big press release regarding unemployment rate drops.On 11/22/2015 the website UI login began to stop working. When those who were scheduled to certify tried to login were unable to do so. I think they are deliberately trying to do this because of the holiday wk. That way by wk's end their certification will drop the claim and need to redo the claim. The time period will knock claimants down. They take your ip address and are isolating you to only way to certify is via UI online and if you call in they ask for your social number and filter you out via the IVR. What you need to do is call tech support at 1-866-333-4606. Ask for the ticket number of the call and rep you are speaking to and keep records. My main concern is why are they not acknowledging the inability to login?

I've emailed, the last 2 days. Saving confirmation numbers after emailing. They said its the fastest way to certify or file
I can't even see any status through my UI account threw EDD. I couldn't just except that. So I've been working my brain trying to figure out what I may have done wrong. Come to find out, I googled EDD system down, and walah!!!! I'm not the only one. We are definitely not at fault for this one. It's bad enough you never can contact or speak to someone. And then this Smh. Even mailing paper claim form it wouldn't be on time. If it's delays with convenant ways of doing it. It definitely will be the same plus if we mailed it.

ok so this is really lame not only did i get fired, and cannot find work, then almost have a manic episode trying to certify for benefits , then have to re certify because i accidentally pushed a wrong button and ended up waiting a total of 2 months before i got my first check which is a measly percentage of my already shitty pay, then experience the most stress i ever have trying to get through to the ui office on the phone for a 2nd interview after i had to get a new phone cuz mine was stolen, and finally breathe a sigh of relief when i thought i was in the clear, but NOW THE PINCE WEBSITE DONT EVEN WORK!!!! arrrrrrgggggg!!!!! i swear its llike a fulll time job just trying to maintain these damn payments THAT I PAYED FOR OUT OF MY CHECK IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! and you know whats even better? the ui doesnt have an office you can actually go to and if you call the phone always says theyre tooo busy and call back later and you will be on the phnone trying to get thru all morning til noon when they close!!!!! what madness is this?? isnt it ironic that the ui office closes at noon? i wonder if the ui workers get certified for having their hours cut back....hahahaha!!!! ok im done....

It's down again and I Googled "proxy browser" (http://proxybrowsing.com/) and entered the EDD claim URL (https://cccwpd.edd.ca.gov/Security/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fdefault.aspx) - and it worked! I was able to file my bi weekly claim.

Proxy browsers just route your site requests through a different set of DNS servers. Its as secure as your normal browser really... if a goverment wants your info its unsecure ;) If you dont like the proxy option you can try by the IP I gave earlier. Its just edd.ca.gov in its numerical format. But, nothing is purely secure.. if someone wants it they will get it thats the world nowdays :) The choice is yours I just want to make sure people can process their certs ASAP and not be anymore delayed... god knows when the goverments going to fix this :(

I mentioned this on the EDD facebook page looks like the Domains arent resolving. Try typing in the IP for the edd page which is my friend did this and could logon to do their biweekly webcerts. Also google "Proxy browsing" and type in the edd URL and you should be able to bypass this error. isitdownrightnow is right the page is up... but only by bypassing the DNS servers.
