We have tried pinging Google Drive website using our server and the website returned the above results. If drive.google.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access Google Drive - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Try alternative urls such as googledrive.com

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Google drive wont. open it keeps sayig "redirecting" and showing a blank page

Tom Rawlinson · 6 January 2016 - 10:58
· · Chrome 47.0 on Windows

I was keeping all my letters and and a lot of pictures on Gdrive in a gi-normous folder - 5,000+ files (no rule against that?). The main folder had multiple subdirectories, many of which had 100s and 100s of files too.

On 30th Dec 2015 several thousand of these files vanished. Since then, only one of my machines (the one on XP, not the one on W10) seems to be syncing files - and I don't think its doing that properly.

Fortunately, Santa brought me a 500 Gb portable only a few days earlier, so everything was freshly backed up.

Anyone else having this kind of problem?

Seemingly back up for me in Virginia, though running a bit slow. Despite the extreme inconvenience and anxiety for over an hour, everything now seems to be ok. Even a fair amount of data I had entered shortly before I realized it was down, and feared would be lost, seems to have all been saved. Assuming it stays up here, I hope it works out as well for everyone, but this has actually increased my confidence in the cloud in general and Google in particular rather than decrease it.

Drive page will open but won't display any folders. Keeps circling around. Can't access any sheet or docs at all. When I try to access through my computer files, there is a green check on all my Drive files. They won't open that way either. However, all my non-Drive computer files are fine, accessible, and have no green check. This started a couple of hours ago while I had some files open, working in them. Then, one quit working.
