Fix DNS Problems

Well, we are so glad we decided to call DTV. Turned out, the plastic lens on our dish was cracked, and rainwater (of which we have recently had an abundance) had filled it up. The tech was great. Found and fixed the problem in fewer than 15 minutes. Don't know if this is anyone else's issue, but for some, it may be something to check out! Hope everyone else's issues are resolved soon. I am so spoiled. We go for soooo long with no issues. We normally have better service than we've had with any other firm, and this was an aberration. Good luck to everyone!

Just in the last few days, serious problems - and it's ranged in all bands, from local channels to the 500s. Not our tv; it's happening in two opposite ends of the hosue. Sometimes there are yellow squares all over the screen; other times it is totally black. Sometimes there is no error message; other times we get "searching for satellite 771." And for the last couple days, NO RAIN. The rain here only started today, so this isn't weather-related; the problem PRECEDED the weather issues...

I called DirecTV. I called 1-800-531-5000 and someone located in South Carolina told me that all local channels are down in Central Illinois. Wouldn't admit dispute with networks. Said that DirecTV is working with local broadcasters to get the channels back up. Why weren't we warned of this dispute. This is one of the biggest nights for local channels premiering their new season shows.

Black screen on all but a couple of local channels for almost an hour. Message on screen (after rebooted receiver/reset satellite) says "temporary technical difficulties." Recorded message says the same when called customer service. This is a first for me. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Our DIRECTV service has now been displaying "No signal" since yesterday morning (4/13/13). I have been through all published fixes several times: restarting, unplugging, reauthorizing, and resetting, all to no avail. I have to assume this is a DIRECTV system outage and customers should be rebated for any time the system is not available to them.

Yes, direct tv is down right now. Also, the I tried to call them and they wouldn't give me any option for solving problems, until about 11 p.m. I started calling about 9:30, since my tv. was pixelating, going blank, and switching channels in the middle of American Idol.
This has been going on for me for about a month now, but it's getting really, really bad now.

i have recently had a new account started with DirecTV, never had problems previously years ago. New equipment doesn't do so good. the new "mini-clients" overheat easily and lose contact with the Main Reciever and have to reset the main receiver multiple times per week, and have not had any luck getting access to the website, they've recently had to reset my registered email address again, and now the website is down.
