Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

Weeks ago Deliicous redesigned its site to a much uglier, amateurish version. Also the Chrome extension became much worse, and gives me an error message all the time. And now, I can't access the web site at all. :((

Have not been able to access delicious for days. I worry that it is not undergoing maintenance, but gone. Interestingly, several weeks ago they changed the delicious Chrome extension, and it was suddenly infinetly more useful. Really an excellent tool. But now ... nada.

They don't even have anywhere to get updates on the progress they've made fixing the problem. Their twitter accounts are lifeless!

Luckily I was able to load my bookmarks page and get to the export feature.

Delicious is getting screwier all the time. Try to add a site from the browser app and get a window of code. Try to do it at the site and get an error message. Used to be a nice app.

"Server error" for 24 hours. Full refresh without result. Yesterday search by tag didn't work but adding bookmarks did - at least. Plus, user surface of add-bookmark-box changed hourly. Today, even adding bookmarks results in "server error" notification - inside the add-bookmark-box. THIS really makes me feel made a fool of.

delicious has been down for several days and I have not been able to get a response from customer service other than "that's strange". Was hanging at "signing in..." dialog. Clicked the "forgot pw" link and got in, perhaps through cached credentials. All my links are there and look okay. Oddly this takes you to the older website format, which I always liked better. Exporting my links now just to be safe. Hope you get better soon Delicious.

Doesn't show my tags on their website, just the top of the page, then a white blankness. I can still get at them through the Firefox extension, but that may be because it caches them locally. Hard to know if it's saved recent ones on the main site, until it's accessible again.

I really appreciate having this page so I can find out it's not just me. But Delicious really has to get its act together. Unless they are being hacked, then it's possible that all they need are more and bigger dedicated servers. If that's the iproblem they will shut down every time there is a crazy spike of use.
