We have tried pinging Craigslist website using our server and the website returned the above results. If craigslist.org is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...
If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:
Browser Related Problems
- Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)
- Try alternative urls such as craigslist.com
- Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :
Fix DNS Problems
A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.
- Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :
- If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

When I search for an item the page comes up but there is no bar to scroll down and view the items below the 3 that show up. This has just happened since the site has been upgraded. If I go to my account the bar is there and I'm able to scroll down to view the full page. |

Same here in Phoenix. I can get to he main page but if I type in a search it takes me to a blank page. If I click on one of the gerneral searches provided on the main page like "Bikles" it does the same thing. It has been like this since Friday. |

Same here, links to CL give nothing but ads, tried this and it worked, on my new Belkin rougher there was a filter setting that I turned OFF, once I did that all was fine with CL. Get this, the filter was powered by who else but the great Norton, I guess they decided for the world that CL was spam.... |

Yes, the anonymouse link works for browsing only, but not if you want to get to your account or post. No, California didn't have a 10 point earthquake. Yes, they've been having small 3.0 ers and lower. Reportedly there is a power outage, but I've yet to find anything in the news about a power outage, but it makes sense. |

I can access the site, but when I try to reply to an ad, my mail server cannot find the mail (MX) host for sale.craigslist.org (DNS can't locate). I also used an online tool to do an MX host lookup and it timed out. I'm suspicious that its a DDOS against the DNS servers that craigslist uses. |
