Can't Access Chase - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Try alternative urls such as

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Trying to pay my bill and is down for system maintenance. Yes, INCREDIBLY annoying! And they don't post a time when the maintenance will be done so I can pay my bill. So I have to keep checking back. Very poor customer service! This has happened to me alot on weekends. Why can't they do their maintenance in the middle of the night???

I spoke to two peopel about getting on line. the first did not understand and tried and still could not get on line. She referred me to someone else and he said I had to change my browser to Firefox of which I waited fifteen minutes and decided to hang up and call back the number he gave me at 1-877-242-6061. The most frustrating aspect of this agent was that when I asked a question, he took literally 10 seconds to answer and it wasn't always relevent.

Ken Saclo · 17 June 2014 - 08:12
United States · CENIC · Chrome 35.0 on Mac

You are correct they should have posted something on both the phone line and on the site. I am sure they are scrambling like mad men right now because I have worked in a similar environment, and they are supposed to have redundancy upon redundancy, so there first attempts were to fail over, which is why a sign didn't go up immediately. They are probably now trying to decide how to get this resolved extremely fast. They better do something though.

Doni McLerran · 17 June 2014 - 08:12

Well, not happy I can't see my account (says not available), but at the moment it's not an urgent matter. I was concerned something was wrong with MY account, but if everybody else is having the exact same issue, I'm just going to move on to something else until later and try not to not worry too much about it.

I've been trying for 2 days. I tried earlier today (11am Pacific) and the site came up. But, as luck would have it, figuring the issue had been resolved, I decided to postpone my banking until after work; and, now (6pm Pacific) it's down again! I work for a highly reputable software as a service provider and, if we're down for even a couple minutes, we're all over it. This is ridiculous.

Can't get into website AGAIN! It just hangs... I am so sick of Chase's lack of concern and/or investment in internet infrastructure. This is inexcusable for a mega-bank. Very frustrating to not be able to access accounts and pay bills when I'm ready. I'm ready to go back to "local" banks who also have internet bill pay access.

I have been trying for 2 days now to log in and pay my now late bills and have had no luck... I can't even get the website to load, let alone attempt to login! Chase better pay every cent of late fees or interest charges I get fined because of this. It's such bull!!!

I can NOT log on to, I've been trying all evening. I am in Denver, CO. My online payment is due today, and they can't be reached. I'll bet they try to charge me a fee for late payment. Grrr! Chase is VERY spotty

Almost not connection to my accounts for 2 days. When I get in, it's slow. Couldn't make any payments or transfers. Just got into the accounts again 6:37 est and once in couldn't do any transactions. A little note from chase on their website would be nice telling us what's up.

Seems that every time they do an upgrade to their system we lose some basic functionality like payment options -- even the CS people and the branch people had trouble logging in on Monday.

And today --who knows-- I should have started checking our business accounts earlier in the day.

I could see the site this morning but it froze when I tried to do transfers or pay bills. They spend billions on new branches and executive salaries. Why can't they keep their website working???

Didn't know Chase was down - accessed my account this morning. Went to buy groceries and my debit card was declined although I know I have the funds. VERY embarrassing! Tried to get online a few minutes ago, and I cannot get past the i.d. page. I have had so many probs with Chase lately that I'm going to change banks.
