We have tried pinging CG Hub website using our server and the website returned the above results. If cghub.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access CG Hub - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

CGhub announces closure?
---------------

No more CGHUB

Sad day. Project CGHUB is officially closed.

The reason behind this extremely tough decision is personal and will remain private. It’s absolutely not connected with business or any kind of technical difficulties.
On behalf of development team I would like to apologize to CGHUB users and fans for abrupt project closure and delay with its announcement.

CGHUB wasn’t ideal, but we loved it SO MUCH! :*(

Completely down now... This is a real jerk move by cghub, they need to make some announcement soon. This site was a huge community for artists, full of images I need of my work and others work, and something people depended on for professional purposes. It's just up and vanished now, this is just disastrous and poorly handled on their part. All this keeping us in the dark and remaining silent about it has me worried it may actually be gone forever...

Looks like it is down even through "host" file DNS hack. I'm no longer getting the forum. A ping to the IP works just fine so it's not like the service itself is down.

Some minor sleuthing:
Dedicated Server:
http://whoisrequest.org/whois/204.62.13.80 (No, that is not contact info for CGhub, just the service)

Domain:
http://whoisrequest.org/history/cghub.com

I did the thing where you have to paste that server info & it works. Hurray! Look below me for more informations. I can confirm it though. (page not working 100% by the way)

Dan Radcliffe · 12 April 2014 - 11:29
United States · Comcast Cable

Confirmed that pasting that server info into my computer's host makes the site work! I can't access my user page though and I haven't tried uploading anything, assuming it won't work. I could get to my uploaded images through my subscription tab. Everything else seems to work though, including posting in the forum, so I don't know what any of this means, cghub needs to make some kind of statement though.

is the consensus then that the heartbleed exploit is what is causing it to be down- opposed to it being shit down by the admin (which would be considerably worse).

Adamdavid Ball · 11 April 2014 - 14:42
United Kingdom · Sky Broadband

Something doesn't add up. I don't know if there was a copyright infringement but i don't think its a bug. Why have they refunded people ? It seems that its been removed due to a mayor issue that they cant resolve. If it could be resolved then why refund customers? interesting.

Reno Buchstaber · 11 April 2014 - 13:10

I'm thinking hack. But who runs the site?

Weird, it says "10044 Testing cghub.com... not vulnerable." I think they forgot to pay their internet provider!

Guys, the CGHub page has been attacked by the Heartbleed bug.
https://github.com/musalbas/heartbleed-masstest/blob/master/top10000.txt
Press CTRL+F on the link above and type "Cghub". It has been listed as vulnerable to the attack.

Same problem. Hope it would be fixed as soon as possible otherwise it may be a big shock for the art community. And I see that cgsociety.org (cgtalk.com) stopped operating as well. Can it be Gnomon based problem?

Yep. I either get 404'd or redirected to CGHug. Can't be a hack if pro members are being refunded.
