We have tried pinging Bluehost website using our server and the website returned the above results. If bluehost.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access Bluehost - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

My site has been going down quite a bit lately. Today it's been down for more than an hour, in the middle of the day when I get most of my hits. And I see they discontinued support tickets? What the heck, Bluehost? Like I want to interrupt my busy day to sit on a phone for an hour? Heck, no! Just let me send you a quick e-mail! >:(

Rachel Cohen Olsen · 23 May 2016 - 09:19
· · Chrome 50.0 on Mac

Frustrating. My email was "spoofed" and I cannot send email. I've had 3 phone conversations and each person tells me something different. It's been like this since May 18. I'm amazed that they discontinued helpdesk submitting a ticket. They likely don't want the issues to be in writing. I had to upgrade to a new security option and nothing has worked since then. I switched over from WPEngine last Fall and both my websites have never been so slow either.

I have been trying to resolve an issue with my file management and have been waiting for 20 minutes for them to answer. Wait time for chat is 30 minutes, and my files have disappeared! I agree it was very reliable, and I was very happy with their services. Have been with them also for many years and now its impossible to talk to them to resolve any issue. Today all my databases were empty 0MB (not my fault). I had an online sale but I don't know what they ordered because the only way to resolve it was to restore DB backup from the previous day. Bluehost is now down for me. After they "fixed" the databases, my sites were up for 5 mins, now they are down with emails too. Has been down for a few hours. Try naturalenyc.com as one site.

Has there been a statement from Bluehost? I have been unable to access my website and the bluehost site all day from my Mac computer and apple devices. Error states "Safari can not open the page as it can not connect to the server." We have only just received internet connection after it's been out by Telstra network issues for a week so have been running diagnostics all afternoon, thinking it was a connected issue but it appears not to be on our side.

No e-mail through our Bluehost server (where our church domain is hosted) is going out to anyone. This has been the case for at least 48 hours. There's long hold times for Bluehost technical support. Clearly there's an issue, though the web server is working and we can receive e-mail.
