Unbelievable. Spent ages entering my order and checking out before the time slot expired, only to be left 'hanging' when payment was going through. Therefore the time elapsed. GRRRR! I search for 'cereal', no results found, but underneath customers viewed Kellogg's CEREAL etc. Type in Kellogg's, NO RESULTS but customers viewed 'Kellogg's cornflakes' It's a joke to be honest. Today I tried again to confirm an order. Still get the continuous whirling sign and nothing else. I have emailed the following complaint to ASDA. I hope they do something about their website and home shopping facilities:

Dear Sir/Madam

I am still unable to confirm my ASDA home shopping grocery order after a week and a half of trying. I know that others are experiencing similar problems and writing on the internet about it daily yet all the suggestions I have had from your support team, either over the telephone or by email are treating the problem as if it were due to me, my cards, my browser, my computer or my understanding of how to do online shopping.

THESE SAME DETAILS AND APPLICATIONS HAVE WORKED MANY TIMES BEFORE WITH NO PROBLEMS.

I have put into practice all the suggestions given to me by your support team.

The problem is with your website and not with me or any of the people who have experienced similar problems. I have purchased a 15.00 delivery pass but cannot use it or make any purchases online from ASDA.

Please put this website right for me and the many others who are experiencing similar 'blockages' and nonsense told to them on their screens, by emails and by telephone.

I still cannot confirm an order. Got an email from ASDA customer support telling me to do any of three things, quote:

You can try the following:
• Please run ASDA website with Internet explorer 8 or above
• Cookies should be enabled on the computer you're using to access the Website
• Delete browsing history and clear cookies to ensure that the website runs smoothly '

I have done all those things. Even if it were my internet explorer that would still not explain why everything has worked well for about 7 orders, confirmed paid for and delivered without any website problems.

The problems I have been experiencing first arose when the site was experiencing difficulties and was putting notices to say so on the website. I think these website problems have not been put right yet.

I am unable to confirm my order today 03 April 2014. Last Monday I tried to amend an order on numerous occasions throughout the day but could not confirm the order. The website did not allow me to amend my order by kept repeating the message that I should sign out by a certain time or the original order would be delivered. The original order was eventually delivered minus the amended add on items.

I made a telephone call to the helpline but found that it did not help at all. I spent a lot of time trying to do what should have taken just a few minutes which has made me feel quite angry about the website service I have NOT been given. No proper explanation was given on the site or on the telephone.

Now the same thing is happening again. Today i cannot confirm an order. Again i have spent lots of time waiting and not getting through. When i rang the store they were helpful but i was sent on another round which eventually put me through to the same useless number.

every time I try order George clothing for delivery to store, it will only let me have home delivery with a charge. I select the store for collection at then the page sticks and will not let me go to payment stage. Last time this happened I rang Asda Direct and they said they are not allowed to do phone orders any more so had to go through customer complaints, speak to the George Manager and see if she could help, which she couldn't so sorry Asda your website is just rubbish!!!

Have been using Asda online deliveries for at least 7 few years and its generally been OK. However since Asda changed their website a few months ago it has gone downhill since. The current status is that the asda website is non-useable (on both iOS and I.E.8). The telephone help staff cannot help and there appears to be no sight of a solution. I tried to add items to my order last night before delivery today and couldn't access my pending order. This is becoming a problem with asda website. I was informed today to delete my address and billing address and re enter it separately, delete any old credit cards attached to my account and then download internet explorer 9 or above. Not good enough. A large company like Asda should not expect everyday people do such technical things. I use chrome and it used to work fine. So they mess with their website and expect me to use a different search engine. Can you imagine how difficult it is for people who are not computer technical and what the hell as my credit cards and billing address got to do with it. They have messed up like they mess up with deliveries, sending stupid items out when original items are out of stock. I am now requesting my account to be deleted, I have had enough, oh and the above things they asked me to do I cannot do the site will not let me edit my account so that was a waste of information, they just don't care. I am going back to Tesco, never had such problems and as they price match I think the extra £1 delivery is worth it in my case, can;t be bothered to waste time and energy with a company that are so stupid.

it has taken nearly 24 hours, and i've used two differant browsers to try and get my order processed... it took just minutes tho to take my payment!! Tescos and a taxi is on the cards if it happens again

any slower it would go backwards... doin my head in keeps freezing and then takes 5 mins to find an item when u press search.. when u finally finish shopping ure slot expires... ort it out asda are u having a giraffe or wat.. ppffttt...

Like other users I cannot get an order through to ASDA on line. The site keeps freezing. I have been trying now for two days unsuccessfully. I am also having the same problem with Waitrose. What is happening out there?

i have been trying since yesterday evening to do my shopping. although it seems the website is up i cannot book a slot - spoken to asda and been told to leave it to this evening, tried several times during day and still - evening - cannot shop. if i can't get through then will have to shop elsewhere where i can.

why could they not leave the site alone, it was fine before they changed it. i am disabled and dont drive, so this is the only way i can get my shopping, also paid three months in advance. i cant afford to keep paying for other deliverys. incompetance yet again

Tried yesterday to do online shop, took 2 hours! when I finally got to checkout and submitted credit card details it kept going onto Asda Privacy Page, pressed back button which to me back to checkout page again, repeated this process about 10 times and it had emptied my basket but had not processed my order. I am trying again today but still having problems grrrrrr!!!

Get long runningscript keeps appearing and takes forever to load page and then won't let you pay, also paid 3 months delivery and now can't access it.

ASDA site keeps crashing and not responding. Other sites are working fine, nothing to do with my connection. Login is dodgy... it takes ages for a page to load and when it does it doesn't load fully and then freezes and crashes.

Update: ok....well i have now gone through all the suggested troubleshooting just to confirm that this has nothing to do with my connection or PC's. STILL NOT WORKING!!! What is the point of offering customers discounted delivery if you pay 3 months upfront IF YOU CANT PLACE AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY!! Will be contacting ASDA in the morning to make a big fuss about this.

To sign in, click on any item (like you do shopping) and it will tell you to log in or register, enter your log in details there and it should work, as for the (comes up back at 6am BST) Just click back on your browser and it should get back to confirming your order and work. Hope it works for those having these issues.

I am begging to wish I had not bothered paying 3 months delivery upfront, I"ve only had one delivery from it and am now experiencing problems signing in and when I do gain access I am unable to pay as message comes up back at 6am BST. Asda get a grip Tesco are not having this trouble. Come Monday if the site is not up and running I will be demanding my delivery money back, and defecting to Tesco"s. And no its not our Computers I have tried 4 different ones.

I have spent 2 hours putting an order in, checked out, got all the way to card verification then got a message saying "We will be back by 6am BST". No date. BST actually ends at 2am tomorrow!. Was able to log back on and my groceries were still showing as being in my basket. Now I cannot log on at all. Not a happy bunny. And yes, I also have paid for 3 months delivery upfront...
