Can't Access Amazon - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Amazon video is streaming my video at the lowest bar, even after i restarted my computer and modem. I shouldn't have to pay for HD movies in order to enjoy a quality picture quality, especially on a laptop. I think TWC is throttling my speed. What BS I am supposed to have "up to" 25 MB per second. In other countries, ISPs are required by law to advertise and provide a MINIMUM speed, not some magical theoretical speed when there is no traffic. F amazon and F time warner, what a bunch of crooks. Fasle advertising.

Have been unable to watch any Amazon Video trailers for over a week on Fire HDX tablet, Fire TV and Fire TV Stick although movies once purchased are working fine. Amazon have had me unregister and register multiple times and causes upheaval but still does not work. I have to find and watch movie trailers on IMDb, who make you watch ads (even though a trailer IS an ad if they're marketing the download). Amazon are starting to behave like features we're paying for are public services were lucky to have and dragging their feet over getting stuff fixed in much the same way as the Council do when there's a rut in the road or a much needed library has to close.

Yes, I've been having the same issue at checkout. I press "Place Your Order" and it looks like it goes through, then suddenly it's back to the same page. I chatted with an Amazon representative and they said the problem is on their side and to check in a few more hours, which I have just done. I guess they're still having issues.

Recurring problem checking out. Click "Place Order" button seems to initiate the usual process, but the same checkout page comes back with the "Place Order" button still available. Have tried to place an order for more than 24 hours now, using different browswers and even different browswers on a different computer. I noticed in the community postings that others were also having problems. Seems Amazon is losing some significant profit while this problem exists.
