Can't Access Zap2it - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

I have been patiently waiting for Zap2it to get up and running again but it appears it isn't going to happen. I want to thank those who suggested TitanTV because I tried it and really like it. To me it isn't as user friendly, but I think I finally have the hang of it. Thanks TitanTV, bye Zap2it.

JoAnne Lye · 21 April 2014 - 16:23

Zap2it is impossible to log into. The fix they send does not work. They can kiss millions of users goodbye as we all find more reliable sites to use. (And goodbye millions of $ in ad revenue.)

Marcel Saucier · 20 April 2014 - 04:57

Working well with Google Chrome, seems that zap2it is not working well with Internet Explorer Windows 8.1, for weeks, now.

Robert Seifert · 19 April 2014 - 08:29

Gloria Adams · 19 April 2014 - 08:20

I have found away around the site problem. I went through my local news site that is an affiliate of zap2it and there was all of my saved TV listings. Happy Easter and good luck.

Thanks for the TVGuide tip, Pamela Lee. It's not as good as Zap2it was but it is WAY better than Zap2it is now. I just can't believe they are not fixing it!

Pamela Lee · 13 April 2014 - 16:02
Belize · Southern Cable Network

Me too. I wrote an email, they acknowledge an interruption, say Hope you like our new page. also says no new registrations at moment. I found an alternative.. not as good but still can have just your favs for your zipcode:

It's only been down for me for about a week but I used it everyday and it was SO convenient. I miss it. when I first saw it was down I thought they would get it fixed soon but, like a said, at least a week for me. Doesn't look like they are working on it at ALL!

Terry Killingsworth · 7 April 2014 - 16:50

What is this? No channel #'s? Can't change time zone. Can't login. It just ignores when I click on "login" or "change location."

Arlene Robinson · 7 April 2014 - 11:05
United States · Time Warner Cable

I've been using zap2it for years, also. I hope they get it fixed soon. I print up schedules for my husband who has developed AD and has difficulty using newspaper TV pages.

Tony Kemmett · 6 April 2014 - 13:45

Unfortunately Titan TV doesn't provide access for Canadian Postal Codes and TV providers, however has a user-friendly TV listings guide.

Trey Dio · 6 April 2014 - 07:20

I've used Zap2it for years but now I think I'm switching to TitanTV. So far it seems awesome.

Tony Kemmett · 5 April 2014 - 15:39
Canada · Telus Communications

What a complete mess ! Even when you send 'feedback' you only receive an 'auto-reply' with no acknowledgement that they are having problems. This is supposed to be 'better' ??

Bill Owens · 5 April 2014 - 08:35

Page a mess, nothing works. New and improved my @#$%^&.

Trey Dio · 5 April 2014 - 08:30

It is an unmitigated disaster! It is worse than the Microsoft Windows 8 mess.

Rebecca Gene Pratt · 4 April 2014 - 20:22
United States · Time Warner Cable

I can access it, but it's a hot mess that I can't make heads or tails of. I think it's a new design, and it's looked this way for 2 days, so I've started using TVGuide online.

Dilys Harrell · 4 April 2014 - 13:52
United States · Cox Communications

It comes up default (EDT & list of networks). So I put in my ZIP code (CA( & my carrier (Cox Cable). It comes up almost as it was until yesterday. BUT, if I go off-line, it goes back to default - it is driving me crazy!
