Can't Access US Bank - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Been trying for 10 days now to get onto this site with a constant message of server taking too long to respond. Have tried everything to access. This is not the first time this site has been too difficult to reach. Need to get more reliable bank!

Lu Johnson · 10 September 2014 - 13:21
United States · Time Warner Cable · Chrome 37.0 on Windows

According to the website, they were "read only" due to a technical glitch. They stated that no data was lost. I tried again a minute later, and the site seems to be working normally again.

Server is down so I can't even make purchases or pay bills! This is scary!

Frustrated w/US Bank website. Seems like it's down more than it used to be. Down again now.

Jotires Jotires · 8 June 2014 - 17:48
United States · Charter Communications · Chrome 35.0 on Windows

I was trying to login my account as usual - input user id and answered my challenge question. It said my account is lockup and asked me to go to the login assistant. When I went through all first 2 questions, the last one asked me my card pin code. I don't feel comfortable to answer this and left. I was trying to all the phone number and no-one pick up the phone. It didn't say this is US Bank and just asked to leave message. Not feel comfortable at all.

I get challenge questions I never set up. It doesn't remember the new challenge numbers either. Seems to be mixed up with other accounts. Telephone help didn't work either.

I am so frustrated with the "New US Bank Website"! You can only log-on but not able to do anything else!!!! It has worked on occasion but is in malfunction mode for the majority of the time. I am used to being able to just log on and do everything I needed to do in a timely manner but now it does not seem that I even have online banking services. It is important for customers to have internet access as it is the only way to do business these days. Please either go back to giving the customer the option to go to old website or get this problem fixed!

I had an US Bank credit card some years ago and your customer sucked so bad that I canceled it and received a call from someone (I think Your CEO) after I had posted on line how bad your customer service was who told me all of the problems had been corrected. THEY ARE NOT. I have been trying to pay off my credit car for about 5 days now. I have tried online which I cannot reach and by phone which I was told went through but IT HAS NOT. Do you have anyone working for your company that has more than a 3rd grade education. None of them seem even to know the website is f***ed up and when I was transferred to the website rep she told me she knew nothing about the internet. Boy you sure do have "customer service"
