We have booked Southwest flights in the recent past and never had trouble before. Cleary a problem with an update to Southwest system that will result in lost bookings.

On my flight to JAX from BNA on Friday, Oct 9 while boarding the plane the check in pass asked if I wanted a wheelchair waiting for me in JAX. The wheelchair was there like she said it would be. I was unable to check in like so many other customers 24 hours prior to my flight. SWA customer service recommended I arrive early to ensure I would have time to retrieve my boarding passes and request a wheel chair. We arrived at JAX at 7:00 a.m. for our flight to BNA at 9:50 a.m. We were able to get our boarding passes and request a wheelchair from JAX to BNA. SWA thank you for 100% ensuring my needs were met at a time when y’all were experiencing problems with your computer systems.

I arrived for my 6 am flight in DC today and we pulled away from the gate on time, then sat on the runway for two hours to be pulled back and deplaned because of a mechanical error. When we got off the plane the systems were down and we have been waiting since. If they had not let us sit on the runway for two hours then we would have been inside and rebooked before the system was down. They are offering no vouchers or accomodations and only suggestion is to "use another airline if we are unahppy". Insane.

The night of Aug 6th I was unable to cancel my southwest flight. I was able to book a new flight (not being able to cancel meant that I was unable to apply the fees from the one flight to the new flight.)

Yes, I have a major problem with Southwest - their website and lack of customer service. I have not been able to log into my Southwest account for almost a week now. This has been the worst experience ever and their customer service sucks. I have transferred to their "Customer Relations" team @ 214-932-0333 and have spoken to several people at that location over the last few business days. (When you call this number expect to be on hold for at least 30 minutes). I have been told that there is a "glitch" in their website and (currently) they have over 2500 reported customer's that are not able to log into their accounts. There is not a current ETA on when this problem will be resolved because they are still "working on trying to fix" the problem.

I have asked if my personal information on my profile page in their website is safe and secure because I was initially told my account had been compromised. I was assured today that techs say this "glitch" should not compromise my personal information. They offered to book my flights for me since I am unable to access my account and my response to that is... no, I would rather make sure that this "glitch" is corrected and my personal information is safe. I’m not sure that I believe that because I soon as I hung up with this Customer Relations office this morning (I called them from a landline), I received a call on my cell phone (which is on my profile page in their website) from Antigua (268) 762-0045. I have asked the Customer Relations center to at least email or call me with updates so that I do not have wait on hold for 30-45 minutes and re-explain the situation to the next rep all over again. I was told that they are a small office and unable to do that. (Yes, the "customer" relations department is unable to provide "customer service" to its customers). Hopefully, this problem will be resolved soon so I can close my account. I really liked Southwest Airlines up until this issue. I would think that they would what seems to be a major issue more seriously than they have so far. People's personal information could be at risk and their attititude is ... we are working on the problem, no ETA when it will be fixed (maybe by Friday) so just call back then. In the meantime, we will be happy to place a flight reservation for you (not knowing if my member number will remain the same or not). Absolutely Ridiculous.
