I have been trying to get a hold of someone anyone at Samsung for 5 days now I bought and paid for a gear fit and paid $20+ for two day shipping and still have yet to see my package! Few days of Smart TV not connecting on-line. 2 years before that was fine, and other devices work with VirginMedia (UK) no issue. Clearly Samsung SW bug.
Sometimes it claims to have connected, sometimes connects to WiFi router but not Internet.
Tried factory reset - same.
Tried DNS as auto (Virginia Media
Tried DNS & (Google).

Got the solve from Samsung rep-widespread issues due to engineers installing updates-fix: pull up Smart hub-press fast forward button,press 289 numbers, press reverse button in quick succession-Countries will be pulled up-switch to Australia-start download by following prompts-after Australia download complete, again press fast forward, numbers 289, reverse button,will pull up Countries again. Select United States, follow download prompts-upon completion Smart Hub apps will be restored.

On the phone with Samsung for almost an hour last night (10/11) most of it spent on hold (39 minutes). Representative informed me that Samsung is and has been having issues for a few days. Should have been resolved by 10pm (ET) on (10/11). Still having issues as of today (10/12/2015). Network interference, update needs to occur on Amazon Prime, reset clock on Hulu, not even connecting to Netflix. Tried resetting multiple times, unplugged tv, reset internet connection. Nothing works.....

October 10, 2015 - Cannot access Netflix, Pandora, etc.all day. Keep getting message that Network is not connected even though Network Settings claims that Internet is connected successfully. Have tried everything including resetting intial settings, manually changing DNS server, disconnecting power and rebooting everything from blu-ray to wi-fi to router and TV. All the old tricks that have worked in the past when I've lost network connection - have no effect this time. According Samsung servers are working, so I give up. Maybe the Samsung fairy will show up and fix it.

It's not just Samsung that does this though. But OMG was I pissed after 3 hours of messing with my blu-Ray and router. But nephew works for the geek Squad and Sony was down for 3 months after it was hacked. He said most of the tv's have the same if not worse downtime. Samsung tries to do it while everyone should be asleep, but can help a fire. I seriously thought if buying a different brand myself until I talked to him today.......hope this helps anyone

Finally came back up here, AFTER I've spent a couple of hours stuffing around with router and TV settings, as well as performing a couple of very inconvenient factory resets. Would have been nice if Samsung had saved me (and many others) the hassle of assuming the issue is at our end by communicating this via their devices or their website, it's not like they're not able to.

I have a fix for the current issue with As your TV needs to contact samsung for your SMART HUB to work you can use SMART DNS Proxy server to allow it to work. If you put this IP as your DNS server it will connect correct. -

Erica Brown, that fix also worked for me after being down a few days. I had switched out my router, switched to a wired connection, tried several other configurations and nothing else worked, but the DNS fixed the connectivity for all my apps, Netflix, etc. I wonder why that worked?

Was thinking of getting another Samsung Smart TV for my second TV. Would not even consider it now. I am in Information Technology. We've been having this all night, but just now SmartHub said we needed an update and it is auto-installing some apps (very very slowly). Maybe it is finally coming back online…

I can finally get into SamsungApps to re-download YouTube and Netflix. Finally!

Edit: Maybe I spoke too soon.. Samsung Apps is on the screen but "Loading…" with nothing but a blank background… =/

Down in Massachusetts. Spoke with Samsung tech support the entire Smart Hub Network is down and has been since 1pm EST. It is expected to be down for 24 hours :(

server is down in NY too i was wonder for so many hours what s the problem especially when i just hooked my new modem today all my devices work fine except my smart tv

Update: good news guys i just tried the connection again and it is launching the net it is working now in astoria NY

They took me through 40 minutes of troubleshooting including resetting the hub before telling me it was a known issue that would be fixed "really very soon". I now get the "internet is not stable" message.

I never had the error bind but it all started for me with being unable to load the apps...

Still no access to smart hub, the menu comes up but it says I don't have a connection, even though when I go to menu and check my network status it says I'm connected.

Stupid design. Whenever Samsung's servers are down nobody in the entire world can use theirs TVs. Why the need of central servers? Is Samsung monitoring their customers?
