Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

sometimes I wonder what's really behind the scenes, maybe I shouldn't know.

Fadi Kassis · 23 December 2012 - 16:20

Hope is coming back soon

How can someone do something like that? Whoever did it, just did harm to himself. He must be a very lonely soul with very little value as a human being. Wonder if he has kids, what would he teach them to be like?

Guys, we will build this site it up again and we will re-connect. We are a very strong community and we share a big passion for this hobby. "Men are not measured by the number of times they fall, but by the number of times they get up and go on".

Thomas Johnson · 22 December 2012 - 06:56

Jenni Hanevik · 21 December 2012 - 19:23

Thomas Johnson · 21 December 2012 - 15:34

Chris Link · 21 December 2012 - 13:55

Did he say who is doing it? We could publicly embarrass them.

Caitlin Ambrose · 20 December 2012 - 17:50

Ron Turner · 20 December 2012 - 07:29

You mean one person has screwed this up for everybody else? Feel bad for everybody that wants to buy something for there kids to get started in this hobby.

Noah Schechtel · 18 December 2012 - 18:56

coward, scum and a if I ever meet you face to face... well... I will bludgeon you!!!

Kenneth Dutra · 18 December 2012 - 14:47

this is a shame to loose such a great rc site.

David K Shema · 18 December 2012 - 05:06

Mark took RunRyder off line 12/17/2012 for what appears to be an indefinite period due to a relentless, nearly two week long Distributed Denial of Service attack. Status is being tweeted, if you follow "@runryder", you should see updates regarding the site. It is a shame that someone out there has enough animas toward the site owner that they would stoop to such a cowardly and evil method to deny access to the site and to bring financial ruin to its owner.

Caitlin Ambrose · 15 December 2012 - 19:32

Runryder is the victim of an ongoing DDos attack. it is difficult to access the site

Tim Kim · 15 December 2012 - 10:37

Clarence Ragland · 13 December 2012 - 05:41
