We have tried pinging My Squeezebox website using our server and the website returned the above results. If is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Browser Related Problems

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

I have been listening with no problems to JPR from So Oregon and KHUM out of Humboldt County all day via the media server, just switched over to moments ago and it's working fine now. Just another uncommunicative and exasperating Logitech outage. Their product sucks but my house is always a groovin space with my favorite alternative stations playing constantly.

Yes, you need to have your computer on with the media server running to operate the Squeezebox off of it. My radio (it's the discontinued two speaker box) is in the kitchen, computer is upstairs and runs all day anyways. Normally I use as the server, you only need the media server to access files on your PC or network but the radio functions pretty much the same from either server.

I just started up the media server on the PC again today and got the radio working again. First I tried and it failed again, what's amazing is the unit acts like it's totally broken when trying to use it, it does not respond to inputs half the time, even the clock and night dimming were not working correctly. It's always unclear whether the box is broken or the server is. Until this week I was just thinking how the box had worked consistently for months without reboots. In the past there have been periods of constant struggle with the damn thing. I sure would love an internet radio that does not depend on some companies servers to run! Which is kind of what you get with the media server I guess.

The box was acting very flaky all day even though it was still playing. It stacks commands and experiences long delays before exceuting them etc. Logitech is just like Roku and the Soundbridge which I finally threw out, they do not seem to be able to support or communicate with their users. What is so difficult about supporting internet radios?

Anyway if you have installed Logitech media server on your pc you can go start it up and switch the squeezebox over to that instead of from and it will work fine right now with all your presets, I just did it.

I've always hated the complexity of this box, just make it simple for gods sake I just want to get a handful of favorite radio stations from out here in the country!

The service has been down for me since yesterday evening (12/13/2013) in Scottsdale, Arizona. My Wi-Fi is working fine. This it the longest outage I've had for my Logitech radios since I bought them a few years ago. Logitech needs to up their customer support.

Called Tech Support about 4 hours earlier, my Touch won't connect but my UE is working fine... they say they are having server problems and my two devices are connecting to different nodes of the Squeezebox server... very, very frustrating. Not to mention that throughout the years Logitech refuses to post the status of technical/server problems on the web. They prefer to leave all of their customers either guessing or calling their tech support. Very primeval approach for a tech company.

It's been down since Friday, although they told me it would be back up by 11 PM that night.

Edit : Oops it is back up. I took a guy's suggestion from the Squeezebox forum, to connect the Squeezerbox to an Ethernet cable, connect to mysqueezebox, then switch back to my wireless connection. That worked. :)

My Squeezeboxes came back to life on Saturday evening and have been OK since. However, I have now received a reply from Logitech in response to my earlier enquiry. This is what they said:

Thank you for contacting Logitech's Customer Care. Our main Squeezebox server in the Us has been out since Friday. Logitech is working hard to resolve this for our customers. Sadly, an exact estimate of when the server will be back online. Hopefully it will be back by Monday evening or Tuesday morning. I apologise for this inconvenience,

Back up and running (Sunday afternoon November 4th) in the UK after 48 hours of silence. Lost all faith in Logitech but will continue to use the product I paid for as there appears to be no alternative bar trying to sell it or chucking it out. Incidentally, the Squeezebox Touch is still currently on sale at Hope everyone has updated their reviews!

Squeezebox users may wish to read this blog from Logitech's Ariel Fischer where he outlines the company's future plans for the Squeezebox platform

Unsurprisingly the new UE server was not affected by the Squeezebox server crashing! I expect Logitech have some engineers keeping the new flagship product up and running! Although Logitech will let owners of SB Radios "upgrade" to the new UE platform in the future other SB product owners will not be so lucky. Having used the SB platform for quite a while and UE for a few weeks I would suggest sticking with SB until Logitech finally close it down for good - UE doesn't come anywhere close!!

I have left a review of the UE Smart Radio on if you would like more information.

Thanks for that link, Dave Graham. Interesting but very worrying indeed. It doesn't look like Logitech give a toss about existing Squeezebox customers, so I doubt very much that they'll be busting a gut to support the server in any way. I just contacted Amazon - from whom I bought the Touch over a year ago - but they just say contact Logitech. I'll have to cancel Spotify and Napster shortly if the server remains unreliable. Great work, Logitech.

I recommend that all tens of thousands of logitech squeezebox customers return their products on monday. That should affect their buttom line with some hundred millions... And learn them to treat their customers correctly... Ie give immediate information about what is happening with the mysqueecebox server

I don't know if it's me or squeezebox - It's driving me nuts. Connected to home network but not my result no radio. like this for two days. why doi bother? analogue radio seems so easy by comparison

Still down in UK. At least now i know it is not my system. Couldnt tell that from their website though, a service anouncement would have saved me wasting a few hours trouble shooting in vain.

Denmark: Website is up (http) !! + Streaming IS WORKING on my SB now !! (port 3483 says OK). Only port 9000 is not working right now (most likely used for user-interface/channel selection etc. in the SB/GUI)....

I used the SB "Remote Control" App to (works from Android, iPad and browser/website :-) and was able to start my SB playing all of my stored Favorites !! MUSIC IN THE KITCHEN AGAIN :-) NB: Internet-radio working when selecting most stations/countries :-) Waiting to get port 9000/the radio GUI back online tooo...

Just contacted Logitech in Morges, Switzerland (just down the road from me). Same old story about hurricane Sandy. No idea as to when the server would be up. Unbelievable!.
