Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

I haven't been able to log in to my Merrick Bank card for at least 3 months now. It says my browser is not up to date. I use Chrome 50, the latest version. I have also tried current versions of Firefox and IE and they don't work either. I called Merrick Bank and they said it was my computer's problem. It's obvious this is not the case. Too many people reporting the same issue! I was only able to log in using their mobile application which is a bit limited though.

I can't log into my credit card account, say cookies are required. I have tried everything on my end, nothing works. What's going on?

Can't login as it takes me to a page "Cookies are Required." Cookies are enabled on my browsers. I have tried it with IE 11 and the latest Firefox browser. Merrick's customer service says to call my computer manufacturer - ridiculous!

I keep getting a "cookie message" each time I try to access the Merrick bank website. The message keeps telling me to allow my browser to accept cookies. I have made sure all of my browsers, IE, Google, Foxfire, accept cookies. I have even entered the Merrick site into the "allow" function in IE. Still nothing; and I am not able to even get to the login.portion of the Merrick site. I am able to login to all other banking sites without a problem. Is anyone else experiencing this with Merrick?
