Fix DNS Problems

I have a US account with a California number. I just made an overseas call 24 hours ago and it was fine. I still have about 40 minutes credit left. I just tried placing a call, but all I get is a fast busy signal. I tried calling 2 numbers to 2 countries overseas to test, but I just get a fast busy signal. Is the service down now? It's 12:12 am Pacific Time. I am able to access the magicjack webpage, but that's not what I need. I need to make an important phone call overseas. My internet is working just fine. Same issue here. No dial tone but a recording, "Error 401. Check your internet connection." I cannot login to the MJ site either. I noticed it a few hours ago. The voicemail to email appears to be working, which is how I realized MJ was down. I wondered why I got an email that I had a voicemail but never heard the phone ring and checked the phone for a dial tone.

@Margaret Edland: Once their VoIP phone service is restored, you might have to unplug your MJ for a couple of minutes to reset it, if it doesn't reconnect automatically.

I am curious about what I was told earlier that "an emergency upgrade" was underway. I mean, wouldn't an upgrade have been planned? I suspect that this is really an IT issue, and they're scrambling to get the service back online.

Has anyone contacted CNN?

Both my magic jacks are unresponsive.They are both lit up, like they should be. Telling me they both have an error & check the internet connection. My internet works just fine. Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I hope this gets resolved ASAP. I wonder if we need to reconnect them to the computer to reset them. Anyone know about this?

Checked w/ MJ support and they said they are currently installing upgrades which is causing the temporary outage. They said they have no timeframe for the service being back online, but said, as a workaround, I could plug my MJ Plus into my computer's USB port and I will have service again. This is true, works just fine plugged into my computer.

I was able to get to the website earlier in the day, but their service VoIP service has been down since this morning. Various errors including 401 and 503, both "Check your internet connections". Early this afternoon, I worked with a support agent. I am told that they are installing emergency upgrades.

Comment: The service works fine if plugged into the USB port of my laptop. But it's not working if I connect my MagicJack + to my router.

They did say the server is down, and will fix and sorry for the delay. I got this when I went to my magic jack icon and the phone screen came up. I think it is a wait and see, I have trouble- shooted everything. The only thing I haven't done was shut down my computer by the button on the hard drive, think it is them. Error 401
