VERY Frustrating. It is inexcusable that Macy's allows this to keep happening to its customers. I received a credit card over 10 days ago and have tried several times to add it to my Macys account, and it simply will not even load the site, it just sits there and times out. I cannot see my balance or GIVE THEM MONEY to pay it off. Regret ever working with them or signing up for a card. Would not recommend at all.

Very frustrating website. I want to pay my bill! But it won't accept payment - keeps telling me there is an error and to try again later. Then I try to leave a secure message (to ask if there is something I should be doing differently) and it tells me that I'm using characters they don't accept, so it won't send my message. I don't think using only the English alphabet should keep me from sending a message! Grrr. Wish I hadn't signed up for a Macy's card that I have to pay online (I live outside of the US).

Was able to go to the main website but everytime I tried to logon an error message would appear stating to try again later or call macys to see if they could resolve the problem with their tech. dept..They claimed nothing was wrong and were going to research it. Same problem for several weeks with noi resolution.

Try going to https://www.proxysite.com/ and logging in from there by simply typing macys.com. If the signin link at the top right is hidden scroll to the bottom and find the link pay my bill. If you are able to login successfully there is a problem with macy's and your ip address. Click Start->Run, type cmd and press Enter. Type ipconfig /release at the prompt window, press Enter, it will release the current IP configuration. Type ipconfig /renew at the prompt window, press Enter, wait for a while, the DHCP server will assign a new IP address for your computer. If that doesn't work try recycling the power on your modem or gateway and you should get reassigned a new ip and the problem solved. If your ip address stays the same call your internet provider and see if they can assign you a new one.

I tried for two hours to place my order online before it just quit. Then I waited an hour on the phone until the line went dead. Dialed back in and waited THREE HOURS on hold. Again, about halfway into my order the call dropped. I was on a land line, too. So I went back to the website --I have way too much time invested--and placed my order like a breeze. Macy's is having some serious issues with their website & customer service. It's almost impossible to complete anything online, like place a order, pay your bill, check your account balance, things like this. WHEN the system does come up it still takes any where between 1/2 - 1 1/2 hours to complete your task. That's just how slow it is if it's working. Part of this is because the system is inconsistent. It can be up one minute & then re-loading a page all over again & then you have to log back in, & it keeps going on like this over & over again. You might get lucky sometimes & manage to get your task done if you have the patience. The other major issue is with the customer services. You can plan to be on the telephone at the minimum of 20-25mins. You can expect to be on the phone anywhere from 1 hour up to 2 1/2 hours per call if you have a issue that needs to be resolved. Most often this is because of several different things like; the representative you get first may not know the answer so she puts you on a 20-30min. hold & then transfer you to someone else. This person doesn't seem to understand the situation & can't speak clear english to be able to communicate successfully which makes it hard for you and them. Now they put you on hold to get someone else who can answer your question. Here goes another 30 min. hold till another representative comes on the phone & they do understand your problems, but they don't have any authority to correct what is wrong so they must get a supervisor or manager who can override the transaction or approve, correct, whatever the situation happens to be. It usually goes something like this. What's really frustrating is this is the way it is no matter what, when, or why you have to call them about anything. Anymore I just get a big knot in my stomach if I have no choice but to contact them about something. We shop frequently with Macy's cause we love their products & merchandise. Always have! However, if things don't start to get better with customer service & their website we may have no choice but to stop doing business with them. The problems are that bad. I believe that if you are a person that shops a lot at Macy's, it's enough that it could truly drive you to the point of no return. Literally! It's not worth it. I stand by Macy's 100% when it comes to their merchandise. Their ease of return policy, sales, coupons, versatility in all necessities, like from home dept., clothing, men's, travel, & just about any & everything one might need. All at great prices too. It's just a shame that their customer service areas & the dysfunctional website will cost them in a big way. There are a lot of customers who are having the same issues as well as their most valuable customers.

MACYS WE ARE PLEADING WITH YOU TO FIX THE BUGS WITHIN THE COMPUTER PROGRAMS AND ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES. IT IS INEVITABLE THAT TRAINING IS A BIG ISSUE AND DESPERATELY NEEDED. STARTING WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE OF THE POLICIES, PROCEDURES, GUIDES, & LAST BUT NOT LEAST MORE CLEARER ENGLISH SPEAKING EMPLOYEES IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AREA WHICH IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF HELPING THE CUSTOMERS WITH CREDIT CARD QUESTIONS.

Worthless website and customer service. Impossible to use website and customer service is impossible to get a hold of. When u finally do they hardly speak english, don't listen to a word you say, and then transfer you. Canceling my account, they are worthless...

SO ANNOYED! Everytime I try to do a payment and submit it says" Error trying to make payment. try again later". SICK OF IT! Last month I tried to make a payment and same thing! DONE! Going into Macy's paying it off and canceling the stupid card!

It seems to be offline if f you are a customer with a lot of 'Macy's Money' to use by tomorrow- I've been trying for a week and can't pay for the items- called them and they said something that didn't make any sense "We're sending all our customers new cards this month." Macy's Money expires tomorrow- than we'll see what happens.

30 plus minutes and still no technical support to fix my account with Macys. Good grief. The on-line music is beyond terrible and breaks up all the time. I did get the bill paid at no charge. The site was slow for purchases; and no my account information is NOT available and if it is, doesn't know my birthdate/name etc. Grrrr.

Past 2-3 months have been having trouble even after clearning cookies and history so it's not my computer, tried it at work and at home, it wants to verify who I am and then the little ball just keeps going round and round. I am planning to go to the store to pay but I don't want to use their credit card anymore, it's not fair the customer has to go through this to pay on time or risk a late fee.

For the second month in a row, I got an email saying my bill was ready to view online. I clicked on the link on th Web site to "Make a payment" and once again nothing happens -- a ball goes round and round and round. Last month it took 22 minutes waiting on hold on the phone to make a payment. I am NOT going to do that again this month. They need to get their act together -- and as soon as I can make a payment in full I am going to cancel my account. This is reidiculous.

I have been trying to pay my bill online for at least 10 days. I went to the store today to pay and they were not able to bring up my account. I FINALLY got through on the phone (20 minutes hold time!) and was told that they were installing a new payment system and we're having 'issues' with it. Issues??? Issues last for a few minutes to a couple of hours. This is downright pathetic. The customer rep told me that I would be charged a late fee is I didn't pay over the phone. WTH?? I've been trying to pay and Macy's is pathetically unprepared. What was this system not tested before it was rolled out? Who are the people they hire for IT work? And why don't they have a backup to restore to the old system rather than being down for weeks?
i did not pay on the phone because I did not have payment info available. After calling back and waiting another 20 minutes to be connected, I attempted to make the payment via phone (and they keep telling me there is no fee for that!!!!). I was unable to do so because it's my husband's checking account. What is wrong with this company?? They want to know why they need to close stores? Why they lose money??? First, let's start by hiring good workers and having good policies! Macy's has just lost any business I may have sent their way in the future. Pathetic customer service. Pathetic IT policies. Pathetic all around. And my bill is due tomorrow and they told me I will have to pay a late charge if pay,net is not made by tomorrow. absolutely disgusted!

Hey, it's not Macy's website. You need to clear your history. For some reason, Macy puts a site unavailable url in your browser's history. You need to clear that then you'll be able to access
