Can't Access LiveVideo - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

For those of you who haven't heard, LV will be returning very soon. They have a new owner. Here is the wiki page for the new company that owns them.

Where did you hear this from? LOL

That knucklehead Brad Greenspan was in deep poo-poo with the IRS. He was told all is forgiven if he turned over LiveVideo's bandwith to the NSA of America that in turn handed it over to terrorists organizations.
The down and skinny of it is that our own government is gearing up to hit itself with another 9/11 type attack.

What is taking them so long to get it back up and running. The main page is up with a few other functions; but still not 100%

Michael Hollingsworth · 3 September 2012 - 22:36

Common. Someone buy this site and open it back up. If I won a lottery, I'd buy servers in a heart beat and put some professional people in charge to monitor the site. It would be like awesome again.

its good & bad also, its came back or not

Michael Hollingsworth · 7 August 2012 - 23:19

The site will eventually come back. As soon as someone gets enough money to pay for the data servers, they'll buy them. Obviously Green Span didn't have as much money as we thought he did.

sei la vie! Hope it stays gone forever! That site was run by incompetent *** who allowed members to be abused and slandered! Good bye livevideo! Rot in hell!

Michael Hollingsworth · 15 June 2012 - 22:32

John, so basically our data is still on the servers? I wonder how much the data center would charge for the servers?

Sarah Armstrong · 25 May 2012 - 15:52
United Kingdom · Tiscali UK Limited

the site was the best out there no - hidden adverts no waiting for 20 second plus for adverts b4 joining a show... the site was awesome until the morons played with the script... people always abuse the best things in life, such a shame the twats couldnt let something good be...

John Art · 24 May 2012 - 16:52
United States · Time Warner Cable

Brad Greenspan owes money all over town (Los Angeles) and can't find a hosting company to host him. He ran his bill with his last 2 data centers and they shut him down... His servers were held as collateral until he settled. This guy has no shame.

There's a friend that i can only contact from Livevideo and well... damn, not anymore. :\

Hello dear livevideo friens!!! I miss my friends there ! When is livevideo is coming back again?

Michael Hollingsworth · 5 May 2012 - 11:01
United States · Comcast Cable

Rogue, people had lives while LV was up. The site was popular, so it caught the majority of it's users attention while they were on the internet. Greenspan needs to hire a few professional people to monitor the site. Like 10 people to monitor video uploads, pictures, blogs/vlogs, Liveshow streaming on the servers and a few trusted members as site MODS for every LIVESHOW.

The problem was very simple. Too many shady people were given the sites mainframe codes, which made it easy for them to hack. The people who were paid to monitor the servers at the communication center, tried to deal with it every way they could; but the site codes needed to be changed. This wasn't done, so it resulted in numerous hacks. I miss and want this site back.

its good to know that dump of a site is no longer up, it will stop people like cyber from playing with other peoples lifes, so no loss here... and also its better for everyone, i think a lot of people have found life outside the interweb so people get out there and live your lifes. screw live video

Donna Mae Wilson · 25 April 2012 - 20:51

yes, this is elreka1, when is livevideo is coming back again? i miss my friends there !

Michael Hollingsworth · 13 April 2012 - 12:36

Yea man. The site has been down for a while now. Ever since Brad Greenspan had the data servers moved to a new location, they have not been able to keep the site up and running efficiently. I had a lot of stuff on there too but archived live shows that I wanted to look back on, but can't access it because the site is down.
