Can't Access KickassTorrents - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Try alternative urls such as,

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

I'm pretty sure no mirror site or proxy will work properly. Yes, you can still browse KAT and download though. They will most likely be limited to that. So no logging in... And then there is the big problem of it being a cached version.
If you look at the latest forum threads here:
You'll notice that I posted in the 'Suggest Achievements! Official Thread V2' thread about '4 minutes ago' (has been at 4 minutes for about 20 or so) when in actuality, I posted that over 2 hours ago. Also, the new achievement isn't even there... :P

I see what is going on... You can view KAT as long as you are not using "https!" You must only connect using "http." ... However, you still will not be able to sign-in unless you are 'always signed-in' using http! I can download from KAT by using Chrome in "http" mode, not "https." You can then navigate the site and download, but you will not get any credit since you will not be signed in. --- Pikachu

KICKASS IS NOT DOWN... Internet Service Providers are blocking the Domain Names. EASIEST and oldest trick around this is use a proxy that has an ISP that hasnt block

I don't recommend going to ANY website that does that is proxying the website no telling what those websites might sneak into your computer.

Easiest and SAFEST bet is to just:

1. google "BROWSER PROXY"
2. Open a proxy site
3. Type in url and IF it doesnt work try a different one

Baker Kawesa · 7 February 2014 - 09:17

It was working an hour ago and now it says "KickassTorrents is not available right now", so it's probably not the evil ISPs blocking it -- after all they make a huge chunk of their money off torrent traffic so why would they bend over backwards for the copyright industry's imaginary lost profits? Gotta love thepiratebay for resilience -- they get their ass kick down and they're back up again with a new domain name in less than 24 hours. Kickass though is something special and it would be pretty sad to see it go like this. Heck if it's down for everyone, the world must be coming to an end.
